We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Write reports detailing health and safety within their assigned research market.
  • Design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect public safety.
  • Assess risks associated with tools and equipment, job sites, and work environments within their assigned research market.
  • Manage safety projects and analyze multiple studies at once
  • Use analytical skills and critical thinking to analyze data and compile it into usable material and reports
  • Investigate environmental accidents and other public safety concerns within their market.
  • Design training programs to provide safety awareness education.
  • Give presentations about current safety hazards based on market research to educate others about avoiding health, safety, and environmental hazards.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 1 - 3 years relevant work experience.
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Diligent with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety
  • Proximity is important. (Apapa, Tincan, Mile 2, Fetac).
  • Experience with facility management or site management
  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
