We have over the years established proven competences, acquired and invested huge resources both human and material on Facility maintenance/Upgrade and Pipeline Engineering Services. Being mindful of the global environment where we operate and the need to maintain high international standards in all areas of our operations, we have established functional joint operational agreements with foreign partners that enable us collaborate on projects execution.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Advisor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all drilling activities are in conformity with relevant local legislation, NAOC Policies and procedures, NAOC Safety Golden Rules, Process Safety Fundamentals and Environmental Golden Rules, international standards and best practices.
  • Implement company approved HSE activities following the schedule defined in the applicable relevant plans.
  • Identify any non-conformance occurrence at the site, report same to Company and follow up to ensure the observations/deficiencies are corrected
  • Maintain, updating and track HSE data and performance matrix, in authorized formats and periodicity, to support HSE decision promptly.
  • Implement any other identified HSE duty to ensure total compliance to safe operations in all NAOC drillings/workover/Rig less sites.
  • Support in the pre-mobilization inspection of contractors equipment and personnel prior to site mobilization.
  • Participate and support in the PTW process (Risk assessment of tasks and work areas, Method Statements reviews, certificates preparation, PTW training, awareness, auditing, preparation).
  • Monitor waste management activities /practices to ensure they conform to NAOC waste management plans /procedures and Applicable national regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure daily surveys of the work areas with specific attitude to recognize risks related to possible dropped objects, work at height hazards, toxic gases hazards, fire hazards, pinch points, slip and trip risks, contact with moving machines, energized systems hazards, lifting operations hazards and other associated hazards within the work site.
  • Ensure continuous supervision of workers with specific attitude to recognize risks related to working at height activities, lifting operations and others.
  • Be a member of the ERT and participate as first line of support/response in the case of emergency at the drilling/work over site, report any unsafe acts/condistions, Near Miss and apply the STOP WORK AUTHORITY and enforce its application on site
  • Be a true HSE leader, leading by example, and having the positive mindset (discipline, accountability, genuine concern for people, diligence, proactive, be passionate, be emphatic and so on....)

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND with a minimum of 5 years work experience.
