Metwest Steel Nigeria Limited, a steel and iron production company, is currently recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

Location: Issele Azagba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Designing and formulation of the company’s HSE policy and framework
• Perform daily Walkabout Safety inspections and identity hazards
• Conduct weekly scheduled sectional safety inspections
• Conduct weekly safety interactions with workers using the safety interaction checklist
• Inspect fire extinguishers to ensure good conditions.
• Perform SHEC inductions for new joining employees
• Represent the company in all HSE-related matters
• Check and report daily PPE compliance throughout the site
• Conduct and coordinate sectional toolbox meetings
• Assist In implementing SHEC procedures e.g. stop work, permit to work, etc.
• Assist in incident/near-miss investigations
• Perform any other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree.
• 1 - 3 years of work experience.

Salary

• N70,000 - N100,000 monthly.
