Our client operates exclusively in the dynamic and fast-moving region of West Africa, specifically Ghana and Nigeria. They provide a range of essential support and value-added services to industry and to the corporate sector and also operate a number of self standing business products. They are major players in the following sector: Logistics, hospitality, travel, power & ship broking.
They have a franchise to sell and maintain a leading brand in the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) IN Nigeria, which includes mainly forklifts and other MHE.
Due to their internal expansion, they have decided to hire a General Manager.
Job Title: General Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of the material handling division.
- Review financial statements and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability.
- Develops specific plans to increase revenue and participants in the sales of the company’s products.
- Manage relationship with key customers and vendors.
- Preparation of operational budgets.
- Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
- Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
- Establish work schedules, monitoring and procedures
- Development of strategic plans for the division
MAN SPECIFICATION:
- Start up experience would be useful
- Industry knowledge is compulsory
- Experience in writing with electrical rather than mechanical equipment
- Expatriates are open to apply.
- Excellent analytic and communication ability, both verbal and written.
- Must be a computer literate.
ProfileIn respect of the ideal candidate profile:Education:- B.Sc in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent would be an added advantage.
Experience:- Minimum of 8 years demonstrable work experience in a related field
