Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Chevron, Lagos
Job Type: Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day WFH)

Description 

  • We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions.
  • You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
  • As a Full Stack Developer, you will utilize expertise with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries to develop functional mobile and web applications. While keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends, you will also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Responsibilities

  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Write technical documentation
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software requirements
  • Implementing algorithms and solving related problems
  • Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Write clean code to develop functional web applications. Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Write effective APIs
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or relevant field
  • 3 - 5 years work experience.

Competency / Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Strong experience developing desktop and mobile applications
  • Proven experience working with React Native or Flutter frameworks
  • Proficiency with databases (e.g., MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache)
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design, Wireframing and UI prototyping and UX research
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe.cc and InVision)
  • Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and Content Management Systems. Working knowledge of CMS frameworks
  • Hands on expertise working with applications handling big data
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., C#, Java, Ruby, Dart, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Organizational skills
  • An analytical mind
  • Working experience of frameworks like Django for Python, Larval for PHP, Hadoop clusters, Kafka etc.
  • Proficiency with Cache (Varnish, Memcached, Redis)
  • Proficiency with API (REST, SOAP)
  • Manage APIs resources which work across devices, familiarity with sockets
  • Skilled at writing Unit and Automation tests

Salary
N300,000 - 400,000 / month.
