Job Title: Front Desk Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Position Overview

  • As a Front Desk Officer, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our engineering company, providing exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and employees.
  • You will be responsible for managing the reception area, handling inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of front desk activities. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet clients, guests, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer incoming calls, redirect them appropriately, and take accurate messages when necessary.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information about the company's products, services, and policies.
  • Ensure security procedures are followed by monitoring access to the premises and issuing visitor badges as required.
  • Handle basic inquiries and requests from clients, guests, and employees, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with special projects and events as assigned by management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings, and coordinate conference room bookings as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as sorting and distributing mail, managing office supplies, and maintaining office equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Public Administration, or any other related course.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
