Job Title: Front Desk officer

Job Description
Greeting and Welcoming Visitors:

  • The front desk officer is usually the first point of contact for anyone entering the office or building.
  • They greet visitors warmly, announce their arrival to appropriate personnel, and ensure they feel welcomed.

Answering and Directing Calls:

  • Managing incoming calls is a significant part of the role.
  • The front desk officer answers phone calls promptly, directs calls to the appropriate person or department, and takes messages when necessary.

Handling Inquiries and Providing Information:

  • They respond to inquiries from visitors and callers about the organization, its services, and its personnel.
  • This includes providing basic information and directing inquiries to the right department or individual.

Scheduling Appointments and Meetings:

  • Front desk officers manage schedules and appointments for executives, managers, and other personnel.
  • They coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure all parties are informed about scheduled appointments.

Handling Emergencies:

  • In case of emergencies or security incidents, front desk officers may be required to take appropriate actions, such as contacting emergency services or alerting relevant personnel.

Updating Records and Information:

  • They may be responsible for updating contact lists, employee directories, and other organizational records as needed.

Customer Service:

  • Ensuring excellent customer service by assisting visitors and callers courteously and efficiently, addressing their needs or concerns promptly.

Managing Mail and Deliveries:

  • They receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries to appropriate recipients within the organization.
  • They may also handle outgoing mail and shipping arrangements.

Maintaining Security and Access Control:

  • Front desk officers often monitor and control access to the premises.
  • This includes verifying visitors, issuing visitor badges, and ensuring security procedures are followed.

Administrative Support:

  • Providing administrative support to various departments and personnel as needed.
  • This may include typing, filing, photocopying, and other clerical tasks.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:

  • Keeping the front desk area tidy and organized is important for creating a professional and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess OND / HND / Bachelor's Degrees with 1 - 2 years relevant work experience.

Salary
N60,000 - N70,000 Monthly.
