Job Title: EOC Administrative Coordinator Location: Damaturu, Yobe Department: Operations Employment Type: Full-Time National Employee
Purpose of the Position  
  • The EOC Administrative Coordinator Oversees a variety of administrative and technical services to support activities of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
  • S/he ensures quality services are rendered at the front desk and points of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, and other special events. Sets up meeting rooms with appropriate technology and arranges lunches, dinners, and refreshments for meetings.
  • Oversees all secretarial/clerical duties including recording and transcribing minutes of meetings, photocopying, and mailing. Assists in managing all technical equipment (printers, computers, projectors, etc.)
  • Responsible for assigning daily tasks and oversee the maintenance of electronic and Physical copy filing systems, and modifies documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, and emails.
  • Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day management of supplies, equipment, and facilities for the organization, as appropriate, to include maintenance, inventory management, logistics, security, and related activities.
  • Supervises entries, and/or updates data to maintain departmental records and databases, as appropriate; establishes and maintains files and records for the EOC. Organizes and maintains electronic and paper filing systems for EOC resources, tools, and materials, including files on the shared drive.
  • Ensure general administrative/Technical support to the EOC Office staff and Partners as required are provided.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, VPN, Email routing and HTTP. Investigates, diagnose and solves computer software and hardware faults.
  • Installs, maintains, configures and troubleshoot telecommunication infrastructure, including VOIP phones, AP’s, WLAN controllers including servers, printers, computers workstations, etc.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by Management.
  • Provides technical support to troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management or any related field.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years Technical administrative support experience preferably in an International NGO or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software and troubleshooting.
  • Able to communicate by various modes such as verbally in-person, Mobile phone, pager, and direct connect/radio.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and great attention to detail. Must be able to work as a member of a team and possess good problem solving skills.
Language Ability:
  • English is the spoken and written language. Fluency in local Hausa is an advantage.
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public.

Job Title: Senior Coordinator, Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Location: Kano Department: Project Support Unit Employment Type: Full-Time National Employee
Purpose of the Position
  • The Senior Coordinator, MER develops standards, processes, tools and systems to monitor and evaluate the success of eHA projects and programs and their impact on public health outcomes in Africa.
  • S/he defines and tracks key performance indicators to continuously analyze progress towards programmatic and business targets and support data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • The Senior MER Coordinator is a key technical resource for her/his immediate colleagues in eHA Programs and across all departments at eHA for data collection, analysis, and visualization in support of high quality project design, delivery, and reporting.
What You’ll Do To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform the below tasks and activities satisfactorily and with minimal supervision. Other tasks may be assigned as needed:
  • Manage all M&E processes and activities for assigned project portfolio, including results logic design, routine monitoring, and systematic impact evaluations, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Formulate project performance indicators and baselines in close collaboration with project managers to formulate and track the project’s expected impact on beneficiaries.
  • Identify and communicate to program management quality and compliance challenges, concerns, issues and/or risks in a timely manner, and proactively propose possible solutions.
  • Support program management and project delivery teams in defining project data collection needs during project design and throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide M&E technical input for proposal development as needed.
  • Conduct regular data verification exercises and project field visits, as required, to
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy for reporting and decision making

Who You Are The list below represents the required or strongly preferred education, training, professional experience and skills we are looking for in the person who will fill this role:
  • College or university degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Public Health, Social Sciences or a related field. A Master’s degree will be preferred.
  • Any standard project management certification will be considered a strong asset with preference given to PRINCE2 and agile methods such as CSM.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience with demonstrated results in the following areas: M&E tools and systems, research, data analysis, survey design, proposal writing, project design, and management. Demonstrated research management experience is a plus.
  • A combination of work experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors will be considered a plus along with familiarity with M&E technical and reporting guidelines of key international development stakeholders such as USAID, CDC, EU, BMGF, WHO, UN, etc.
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in Excel and experience working with at least one other statistics or data analysis software (e.g. Tableau, SPSS, SAS, MATLAB). Advanced knowledge of standard office software is expected.
  • Any graphic design experience and knowledge of an additional spoken language or any programming language will be considered an asset. Fluency in spoken and written English as the working language at eHA is expected.
  • Experience with onboarding, training or mentoring more junior colleagues or colleagues from other functional or technical teams.
  • Willingness to travel to remote, sometimes insecure environments if required for successful project delivery.
