activism and the mobilization of the youth population as responsible citizens. We are non partisan, neither are we a platform for the actualization of any individual’s political ambitions.
Our ambitious goal is to mobilize 10 million young people, cutting across religious, ethnic and socio economic divides in the country to be actively engaged in the electoral process by 2015.
Job Title: Relationship Manager
Period & Mode of Engagement: Full time
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Purpose
- Set up processes and systems to manage relationships with EiE’s stakeholder groups-online community, coalition members , volunteers and individual donors.
- Communications and media relations.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and manage volunteers’ database and support volunteers.
- Support the devel opment and implementation of a fundraising strategy.
- Support programme staff to acquire skills to mainstream communication into programming.
- Develop and review input for the organisation’s communication initiatives including newsletters, website, annual reports and social media platforms.
- Build strategic relationships with local, regional and international media outlets.
- Provide support to programme staff in the planning and executing EiE events including political debates and town hall meetings.
- Identify and develop donor and sponsorship opportunities for EiE taking into consideration the organisation’s strategic goals and programming.
- Develop and maintain relationships with individual/micro donors.
- Create and manage a loyalty scheme for regular individual donors–tshirts, writstbands, car stickers etc.
- Conceptualize and organise fundraising events.
- Manage relationships with coalition members-information, input and partnerships for programmes.
- Provide support to the design and implementation of EiE’s communication strategy.
- Plan and coordinate the communication, profiling and showcasing of EiE’s work.

Qualifications, Experience & Skill- Previous work experience in a similar role.
- A degree in communications, or any other relevant field.
- NGO experience.
- Ability to make decisions which influence the success of a project or enhances team objectives.
- Demonstrates an analytical & systematic approach to problem solving.
- Ability to plan, schedule and monitor work to meet deliverables in a timely manner.
- Ability to work well under pressure while being attentive to detail.
- Ability to work well with senior management, colleagues and the public.
- High degree of trustworthiness, discretion & confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Knowledge of Nigerian languages.
- Excellent computer skills and high comfort level with computer research.
- High comfort level with social media platforms-Facebook, Twitter, 2go etc
- Ability to work under direction and to exercise personal responsibility and autonomy to meet objectives.
RemunerationN100,000–N150,000 per month (pre tax; all allowances included).
Performance Review Criteria- Ability to deliver on the requirements of the job description.
- Level of engagement of volunteers–retain old ones and add new ones.
- Level of engagement of coalition members-retain old ones and add new ones.
- Volume of individual/micro-donations.
- Ability to produce timely & accurate weeklystatus reports for the ED.
- Level of engagement on social media platforms–increased likes on FB; more followers on Twitter etc.
