A leading engineering and road construction company in Nigeria with Head Office in Lagos and work sites spread all over the country is seeking to recruit focused, results-oriented and suitably qualified professionals to fill the vacant position:
Job Title: Site Supervisors (Fore Men)
Location: Lagos
Reporting to the Managing Director on daily basis. The successful candidate will be based permanently on site.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out daily supervision of activities on sites
- Ensure deadlines are met and that tasks are properly executed and according to specifications.
- Ensure maximum and effective utilization on plants and machinery at site.
- Proper coordination of site workers.
- Resolve site problems and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by management.
Requirement - Any candidate who possesses a minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering from a reputable University with a minimum of 10 years working experience.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, AutoCAD preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be self motivated with ability to deliver projects in a timely and quality manner.
- Holders of HND or its equivalent in Civil or Construction Engineering Must have a minimum of 20 years post qualification experience
- In special cases, OND or its equivalent holders in above mentioned or relevant discipline with a minimum of 30 years working experience and proven track record of good performance may also apply
Job Title: Quantity Surveyors
Location: Lagos
Reporting to the Managing Director.
Job Responsibilities - Prepare various Quantity Surve4ng documents including budgetary estimates from sketch drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and Costs Estimates.
- Liaise with Project Directors and attend Tender procedures and prepare Tender Reports.
- Prepare award of contract letters, check contract document as well as make recommendations of
- Evaluate variations and handle contractual correspondence.
- Prepare evaluations/ cost projections of the assignment to meet requirements of works in progress
- Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by management.
- contractors’ valuations.
- Provide assistance to Project Director on contractual issues.
Requirement - Any candidate who possesses a first degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering from a reputable University with a minimum of 10 years related experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Applicants must be self motivated with ability to deliver projects in a timely and quality manner.
- Holders of HND or its equivalent in Civil or Construction Engineering must have a minimum of 20 years post qualification experience
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor will be an added advantage;
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, AutoCAD preferred;
