Data Manager Job in a Data Management Consulting firm based in Abuja


A data management consulting firm based in Abuja is seeking experienced data manager to support the design, development, deployment and coordination of our projects.
Our firm collects qualitative and quantitative data for our clients both public and private. In addition, we manage the data collected and provide relevant outputs as required by our clients.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Data Manager

Primary Responsibilities

The desired data manager shall be tasked with but not limited to the following:

  • Design of data entry programs using CSPro or other advanced programs
  • Data cleaning and analysis using STATA/SAS/R or other similar statistical programs
  • Create data migration/conversion techniques eg from .xls to .csv, .dta etc
  • Assist staff with internal data management issues, applications and databases including developing procedures, forms and other organizational tools
  • Design of mobile electronic data collection programs using FormHUB, ODK Survey CTO etc
  • Design of Geographic Information System (GIS) programs database programs which collects geographic coordinates and can be viewed on a map)
  • Code, document and test designed programs
Job Skills Required:
  • Analytical Skills: Must be able to analyze how data is coming and how it will need to be organized
  • Attention to Detail: Data is complex. You will be required to look at the minute details to ensure data is recorded and stored appropriately
  • Problem-Solving: Be able to solve data problems as they arise
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will be working with a of our clients directly. Being a team player is important and working well with others is crucial
Basic Qualifications Required
  • A good Bachelors degree in any discipline is generally required
  • Priority will be given to applicants with Masters degree candidates with great wealth of experience working with data
  • Applicants with working experience in public health research and sound statistics background will stand out
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience in database development using CSPro, MSAccess or other software programs
  • Experience in deploying mobile software for data collection
  • Experience in using STATA or other statistical software for data analysis
  • Experience in handling large data.
Requirement:
  • Applicants must be between 25 and 35 years of age.
