Job Title: Van Sales Supervisor

Location: Mushin,  Lagos
Employment Type: Permanent

Purpose of the role

  • To drive the achievement of volume and distribution targets in order to maximise brand availability and visibilityin the off trade, through the management and development of Van Sales Representatives.

Responsibilities
This role is instrumental to ensuring Sales and Distribution targets of the company is achieved. Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Manage VSRs
  • Accompany VSRs during Calls to maximise route effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure all brands/SKUs are loaded on VSR truck on time daily before trucking out.
  • Ensure VSR all recommended SKUs in correct quantities to all outlets achieves volume target
  • Ensure VSR sells at the correct price to the outlet
  • Support VSR during merchandising while selling in outlets
  • Monitor outlet pricing and competition activities and report same to sales/marketing manager.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • OND holder
  • Healthy and physically fit
  • Proven understanding of Selling
  • Ability to manage people at VSR Level
  • Good communication skills – Written and Verbal

Working environment

  • The role is 100% field based
  • 6 Working days a week (Monday to Saturday)
  • Working hours is 7:30 am to 5:00 pm (with 1 hour break)

 

 

Job Title: Delivery Driver

Location: Mushin, Lagos

Description

  • We are looking for a reliable delivery driver who is concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner.
  • The delivery driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. Candidates should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client.
  • To succeed as a delivery driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.

Responsibilities

  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
  • Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
  • Ability to drive a 6 tire vehicle.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be able to drive with a valid class of driver’s licence prior to resumption
  • Must have a valid Lagos state drivers’ institute license
  • Clean driving record.
  • Good Knowledge of Lagos roads
  • Good knowledge of road signs
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail.

 

 



Job Title: Van Sales Representative (Van Driver)

Location: Mushin, Lagos

Purpose of Role

  • Van Sales Representative is responsible for the achievement of depletion objectives within an assigned geographical coverage through brilliant execution of outlet activation standards and trade/promotional activations.

Key Decision

  • Identification of outlets for trade activations
  • Deployment of POS materials, light signs and other trade assets

Responsibilities

  • Drive effective coverage of stores within the assigned Neighbourhood routes ensuring all unique stores within the permanent journey plan are visited at least 4 times a month. Store number is subject to increase at any given time.
  • Ensure all brands/SKUs are loaded on truck daily before trucking out.
  • Ensure priority brands are listed and available in the right quantity in all outlets, while ensuring no out of stock situation (OOS) for other SKU’s
  • Sell all brands and SKUs to all customers without discrimination and achieve his volume target
  • To go to trade with all required selling tools
  • To merchandise all products while selling in all outlets
  • To always sell within assigned selling route/territory daily with no criss-crossing
  • Effectively execute outlet activation standards in all assigned outlets
  • Order delivery
  • Use sales device in every call
  • 100% reconciliation every day
  • No credit to any store

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or equivalent.
  • Must be able to drive with a valid class of driver’s licence prior to resumption
  • Must have a valid Lagos state drivers’ institute license
  • Some commercial expertise gained across field sales/consumer/customer marketing is an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of Selling capabilities, Outlet activation standards, outlet segmentation, building relationships, persuasive selling and brand passion
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Good commercial understanding numerical skills, a high level of computer literacy
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fully geographically mobile
  • Experienced driver with valid license
  • Ability to work flexibly - make bar calls on weekends and at night to engage consumers

 

 

Job Title: Premium Spirit Seller (Van Driver)

Location: Mushin, Lagos

Job Details

  • Primary responsibility is tomanagerelationships with distributors and wholesalers to deliver DBN sales volume expectation.
  • Achieve profitable volume and market share target for the territory by driving sales out of the distributors
  • Building profitable relationships with key wholesalers and ensuring wholesalers carry our target portfolio within the territory.
  • Manages recommended price compliance at distributors and wholesalers
  • Build capacity of distributor and wholesalers organizations to deliver sustainable business growth
  • Ensures distributor sales van are deployed to gain full return on our investment by working with Retail Managers & Distributors to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensures On Time & In Full Payment by customers via effective management of cash flow (revenue generation and operating expenditure control)
  • Ensures monthly business review with all assigned distributors and top 5 wholesalers in coverage area
  • Ensure effective customer/ business development and management to counter competitive activities in the territory
  • Ensure achievement of Diageo sales drivers for territory
  • Ensure and manage appropriate promotional activity in the right outlets

Education & Experience

  • Graduate with commercial expertise gained across Sales / Consumer Marketing or Sales Management with a good track record of performance.
  • Previous experience in a direct customer-facing role is valuable.

Skills:

  • Good commercial understanding in terms of P&L literacy, strong numerical skills, a high level of computer literacy and previous experience of financial/data are important.
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal. Good interpersonal skills
  • Healthy and physically fit.
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Experienced driver with valid license

Barrier to Success In Role:

  • Not spending time in the field with customers and consumers
  • Inability to identify trends or activities in the market place
  • Lack of numeric skills
  • Dishonesty/lack of integrity
