Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC), one of the eleven (11) electricity distribution companies in the county is desirous of engaging suitably qualified and outstanding candidates into the position below:     Job Title: Feeder Manager (Comparable to Service Centre Manager) Location: South Eastern Nigeria The Job

  • To ensure the supply of uninterrupted and quality power to consumers in his/her feeder, and to work towards maximization of revenue generation through effective management of service center staff, detecting and curbing energy theft in the area, fault clearing and recovery of billed revenue.
Specific Functions and Responsibilities
  • Work towards reducing the ATC&C losses by effective detection and termination of energy theft. Effectively monitor and manage customer disconnections and re-connections by disconnection gangs to minimize theft and default cases.
  • Certify prompt restoration of power equipment following breakdown in the system by undertaking the necessary preventive and corrective action in order to ensure such faults do not reoccur.
  • Closely manage marketers and their billing cycle activities including but not limited to reading of meters, recording of data for bill generation; delivery of the bill and payment of the bill by the consumers.
  • Monitor bill distribution to ensure timely bill delivery; to improve collections and company performance.
  • Have demonstrable problem-solving skills and proven ability to resolve consumer complaints, improve customer satisfaction, and address customer concerns at consumer forums and meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, preferably with specialization in electrical/electronic engineering; BSc/BA/HND in Economics or Banking & Finance, or Business Administration; BSc/BA/HND in the Physical or Natural Sciences.
  • 5 Years Postgraduate Experience - Knowledge of techniques & procedures for operation and maintenance of electrical equipment and tools; Knowledge of maintenance of service lines, switch gears, sub-station, trouble shooting, Knowledge of transformers and their maintenance and load reading for inlet and outlet of power, Knowledge of cables, testing and jointing of cables; Knowledge of meters, their installation, testing and sealing; experience in detection and prevention of energy theft; Knowledge of material specification and reconciliation procedures; Knowledge of safety procedure and compliance with same at work.
    Job Title: Network Manager (Comparable to District Business Manager) Location: South Eastern Nigeria The Job
  • To manage the Operations, Maintenance, Commercial and Support Service activities within the District to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the consumers, and the recovery of all revenues accruing from the energy supplied to consumers.
  • To ensure resolution of all consumer grievances and work towards revenue maximization in the District while acting as an interface between Management, staff and consumers.
Specific Functions and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all activities - Commercial, Operational and Support Services at the District for operational efficiency, while carrying out any other job(s) assigned by his/her supervisors from time to time in the interest of the Company.
  • Work towards reducing ATC&C losses, study the Energy Audit Reports and devise strategies to curb losses in the District. Improve revenue generation through detection/termination of theft and other leakages in the system.
  • Have demonstrable problem-solving skills and proven ability to resolve customer complaints, develop customer relationships and build stronger ties with customers. Resolve all consumer grievances relating to billing, wrong readings etc. in accordance with NERC guidelines and EEDC’s laid down policies.
  • Establish appropriate action on customer applications (provision of new connection, change in load, name change, disconnection/reconnection of power supply, etc.).
  • Monitor the schedule of network maintenance in the District as prepared by the PC&M, O&M and other relevant staff. Certify the network is safe to rule out possibility of preventable harm.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, preferably with specialization in electrical/electronic engineering; BSc/BA/HND in Economics or Banking & Finance, or Business Administration; BSc/BA/HND in the Physical or Natural Sciences
  • Minimum of 10 Years post-graduation experience in the field of study, with experience in any of the following areas: the electricity industry, banking industry, telecommunications industry, billing &collection industry, operations & maintenance, electricity generation and maintenance, management of Management Information Systems (MIS)
    Job Title: Facilities Manager Location: South Eastern Nigeria The Job
  • Office administration, project management in liaison with Quantity Surveyor, and Civil Engineer;
  • Real Estate appraisal/valuation, property management including but not limited to leasing, liaison with property owners, regulatory and respective state agencies, processing of payment of rents, fees and various rates.
Specific Functions and Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance of facilities at the CHQ Office, the 18 District Offices and nearly 150 service centers; Maintenance of sundry equipment including photocopiers, air-conditioners etc. to aid smooth operations company wide.
  • Execute Facility / Property Management and ensure the safe keeping of records and documents to aid retrieval when required.
  • Oversee and advise on Real Estate Appraisal/Valuation assignments for decision making. Negotiate leases and processing payments of rents and incidental fees/charges as well as administration of lease agreements in liaison with the Legal Department.
  • Interface with landlords and resolution of tenancy issues in all locations.
  • Implement Project Management in liaison with the Quantity Surveyor, and Civil Engineer to ensure timely completion of EEDC construction and other projects.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Estate Management or Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. Relevant professional certifications such as ANIVs, FNIVS, RSV are required.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in the field of estate management or facilities management.
