Job Title: Operator - Environment
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Full-time
Duties and Responsibilities
Amongst other duties, the Process Operator- will;
- Operate the Biological Treatment System (BTS) plant and associated process areas
- Execute quality control checks and analyses, including coaching of other team members and supporting the Process Artisan in carrying out asset care activities
- Ensure environmental compliance across site to the VPO Environment pillar
- Operate machine and equipment according to the work instructions
- Operate and control the process according to SOP’s
- Conduct autonomous maintenance
- Apply the Manufacturing Way principles and practices
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
- Monitor and control the process
- Maintain housekeeping standards in his area of operation
Qualifications and Experience
The occupants of this position should possess:
- B.Eng/BSc/HND in Engineering or its equivalent
- 6 Months on the job training
- Previous experience in a process controlled manufacturing environment, ideally in food FMCG products would be an advantage
- Ideally, a process understanding of the Brewing process Value Chain from raw materials transfer to BBT (desired not essential)
- Minimum 12 month’s on the job training, SCAP process (internal candidates only)
- 2 - 5 Years’ experience in a brewing/QA environment and/or packaging or water treatment environment

Job Title: Trade & Packaging Lab Specialist - Quality
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Descriptions
- Maintain Safe, Healthy and Risk free working environment
- Ensure Standards are in place and well understood.
- Ensure Training is done against the specified methods.
- Verify the execution of the procedures to ensure that they comply with the standards.
- Ensure that equipment is calibrated and is functioning as per original standard.
- Highlight any deviations to the Brewing manager, Packaging manager and Plant manager for action and stopping of the process when necessary
- Manage Quality Control Governance and environment for the brewery
- Optimize team performance
- Lead Quality strategy as per VPO
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Biological/Physical sciences or its equivalent
- Training: Minimum of 3-6 months on the job training
- Experience: 2-3 Years in Laboratory, Brewing or Packaging operation

Job Title: Machine Specialist - Packaging

Job Description

The key purpose of the role is to:
- Maintain equipment in an as new condition, assuring reliable performance to standard through inspections, corrective actions to restore equipment back to inherent condition, problem solving to address root cause of failures and loop closure and provide input into the ZBB maintenance budget.
- Coach operators in the correct way to operate equipment and perform autonomous operations
- Ensure quality checks are carried out and deviations to standard acted on quality impact machines like bottle washer, filler and labellers.
- Optimize Process Performance
- Facilitate Problem Solving
- Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation/Systems
- Calibrate equipment according to good maintenance practice
- Apply the VPO principles and practices
- Contribute to self and team development and communicate effectively in the Work place
Qualifications
- Min- HND/B.Eng or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Min- 3 - 5 years in a packaging bottling production environment (advantageous)
- Min- 1-2 years as Process or Maintenance Artisan on high speed packing lines
- Computer Literate.
