Job Title: Administration Officer
Location: Okene, Kogi
Job Description
- For some positions, we are not necessarily looking for a fix full time assignment. We are also open for highly qualified freelance input on an outcome based project contract.
- We are looking for highly motivated, dedicated and fundamentally skilled and willing to improve team players to work with our international and national staff. Respectful social skills and standing is key.
Job Details
- Arrange internal logistics travel and accommodations
- Maintain the movement sheet
- Any other assigned activity assigned by superior
- Raise gate pass
- Maintain casual workers’ information adopt appropriate filing system
- Register new casual workers
- Support order, purchasing and sales activities
- Handle daily workers’ attendance
- Local purchases
- Scan, email and print documents when needed
- Keeping information confidential and comply with data integrity and security policies
- Prepare regular reports
- Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments
- Distribute and store correspondences
- Support head of finance and administration management
- Coordinate international and domestic staff travel, security escorts, and accommodation.
- Follow-up a broad range of work recording and reporting
Qualification and Experience Requirements
- Proven experience as an administrative officer or similar role
- Proven qualification for data entry
- A degree in Business Administration or relevant field

Job Title: Store Keeper

Job Purpose
- He/she participates in the drafting and monitoring of all administrative documents related to stored items.
- The store keeper manages the storage, safe-keeping, receipt, and delivery of goods, tools and equipment used
Job Roles and Responsibilities
Maintenance of buildings, storage spaces and stored equipment:
- Draft or complete dispatch and receipt documents in compliance with Geonel Holdings standard
- Monitor incoming and outgoing equipment
- Maintain updated inventory lists
- Participate in monthly stored goods and equipment inventory and reconciliation
- Ensure any part discrepancies or issues are brought to the attention of the manager
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Monitor the storage facilities and infrastructure both from inside and outside: locate damages and propose the necessary repairs
- Supervise cleaning and regular disinfection of storage spaces against insects and pests
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the spaces
- Ensure the equipment and machines used by teams are cleaned before returning to storage
- Monitor the quality of products or items at the time of receipt
- Monitor the quality of products during storage
Drafting of reports:
- Give regular update about the status of the stock to his/her line manager
- Draft weekly and monthly stock report and send it to supervisor
Profile Required
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
- Above average skill in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Must be smart, diligent, and able to work with little supervision.
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- English: Spoken and written
- Education: Candidates must possess a minimum of HND or B. Sc in Purchasing & Supply / Accounting / Statistics or related fields from a reputable university.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 year’s experience in a similar working environment
- Proper knowledge of book keeping and Inventory management.
Job Title: Account Officer
Location: Okene, Kogi

- Maintain the petty cash fund
- Submit monthly report when due
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Calculate variances in the monthly and annual budgets

- Compute and reconcile casual worker wages
- Compute and reconcile number of days and overtime hours for staff
- Posting of transaction in the farm cashbook
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Track all receivables and ensure prompt collection
- Initiating transactions as authorised by management
- Monitor office supply levels and reorder when necessary
- Retirement of cash advance using source documents
- Recording transactions in excel

Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (Agricultural Industry)

Job Description
- The COO will monitor, manage and report on the performance of the company including the performance of all company department heads
- The COO is responsible for oversight and management of risk, driving synergy and collaboration across all operations and functions, and for fulfilling the requirements of the company.
- The Farm COO role is to develop, lead and direct the implementation of company business strategy, objectives and plans focusing on operations, projects, finance, administration, human capital, business development, quality management, and other major functional areas and align them with the overall business strategies and goals of Emperor Farms.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that production costs and controls are in line with expectations and must strive to be cost efficient at all times.
- Ensure that identified risks in the farm operations are mitigated according to the plan.
- Ensures that issues of security, community relations, flooding and fire are adequately planned for and mitigations put in place before they occur
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Provides reports of functions on weekly and periodic basis as may be needed by the Top Management.
- Any other job that may be assigned.
- Undertakes the supervision of all farm production planning, operations from land clearing, through soil preparation, crop management and harvesting
- Shall be responsible for recruiting, training/instructing and supervising farm workers
- Shall be responsible for the preparation and execution of farm budgets and investments in line with set goals and targets.
- Shall be responsible for the efficient deployment and routine maintenance of farm machineries, selection and application of appropriate agro inputs in a cost-effective manner.
- Maintains high level relationship with key farm and factory technical personnel to produce the required feedstock as at when due.
- Supervises the activities of field supervisors as well as casual workers to ensure high level performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as farm manager will be an advantag
- Should have minimum of 5-7 year's experience as a large-scale farm Manager and preferably in a commercial farm.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree / HND in Agronomy, Agric Economics from a reputable tertiary institution or an equivalent qualification
Competencies Required:
- Knowledge and experience in the utilization of full farm mechanization options to optimize yield and lower production cost
- Should be innovative and ready to adopt new improved technology for production, monitoring and decision making
- Experience in organization and management schemes to achieve production targets will be an advantage.
- Understanding of the commercial and marketing activities as well as production and price cycles of farm produce
- Should have Knowledge and practical field experience in managing profitable large-scale mechanized farming by adopting best management practice
