Job Title: Warehouseman


Ref No: FSN-02/FP-CC
Location: Lagos
Work Hours: Full-Time; 48 hours/week

Basic Function

  • The incumbent performs manual supply duties in the warehouse, unloads incoming supplies, office and household furniture and equipment.
  • She/he moves supplies to proper storage areas using fork lift trucks, hand trucks and other materials handling equipment.
  • The job holder serve as a truck assistant and boat assistant as directed by the warehouse supervisor.
  • She/he must maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of the warehouse.
  • This position is a 48-hour per week schedule.
Position Requirements

Job Title: Audio Visual Information Assistant

Position Grade: FSN-06/FP-08
Location: Lagos
Work Hours: Full-time; 40 hours/week

Basic Function of the position


  • The incumbent is responsible for the editing, production, post-production and dissemination of digital audio and visual public diplomacy materials.
  • The job holder maintains an archival storage and retrieval system for Mission multi-media materials.
  • S/he works under the information Specialist, and in liaison with the Information Resources Officer and the Webmaster, develop and place Multi-media materials on the internet.
  • This position provides multimedia production support for Mission public diplomacy events including set-up and operation of any sound amplification, computer presentation, audio or digital video conferencing and related staging to support Mission events.

  • The incumbent performs general expeditor services for the departure and arrival of all U.S. Agencies personnel represented at post including their dependents, U.S. Grantees, TDY and VIP visitors.
  • This position is a shift position; the incumbent may be called upon at nights, weekends and holidays.

Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Position Grade: FSN-10/FP-05 Step 05
Location: Lagos

Basic Function

  • Incumbent will serve as the principal liaison to the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) (www.ustda.gov) and coordinate closely with USTDA on the management and development of its on-going and prospective program activities in Nigeria.
  • The incumbent will provide advice and analysis to the USTDA Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa and Country Manager for West Africa related to the identification, evaluation and tracking of USTDA's foreign assistance activities in Nigeria, across highly diverse and complex sectors such as energy, information technology, transportation, and the environment.
  • The incumbent will work with Nigerian companies, U.S. companies present in Nigeria, sub-regional and national development banks, commercial finance institutions and with Nigerian government officials to develop new USTDA funding opportunities in Nigeria and to evaluate ongoing or completed activities in Nigeria.
  • The incumbent will handle the local marketing efforts for USTDA, prepare sectorial analyses, and report bi-weekly on local managerial and budgetary matters in coordination with the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, and both the U.S. Consulate and U.S. Commercial Service in Lagos.

Job Title: Boat Pilot

Position Grade: FSN-02/FP-CC
Location: Lagos
Work Hours: Full-time; 48 hours/week

Basic Function of the position


  • The incumbent operates and pilots U.S. Government boats and maintains the boat engines and other boat equipment.
  • It is the operators' responsibility to ensure the boat is seaworthy and in safe operating condition prior to leaving the dock.
  • The operator will inspect the boat and determine that all required operational and safety equipment is on board and in proper working condition.
  • He/she must verify that all safety rules including proper distribution of weight, and regulations pertaining to boat usage are adhered to, and report any violations to the General Services Office immediately.

Job Title: Laboratory Branch Chief

Basic Functions of the Position
  • Incumbent serves as the senior scientific and technical advisor to agency officials, PEPFAR implementing partners, the Nigerian Ministry of Health and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the planning and strengthening of HIV-Related laboratory programs and activities.
  • This position is responsible for program development; monitoring, reporting and close collaboration with partners to ensure that all service delivery and laboratory testing is carried out in accordance with program objectives and internationally recognized best practices.
  • The job holder will lead all agency efforts to support and implement the Nigeria Medical Laboratory Strategic Plan, with a focus on quality management systems and quality improvement, strengthening the network of referral laboratories for HIV viral load and early infant diagnosis.
Position Requirements
