TenderLife Rescue Initiative is a non-profit, incorporated trustee, non-governmental organization duly registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria (CAC/IT/NO 113298). TenderLife Rescue Initiative is implementing the ACHIEVE SURGE IHVN/WEWE Project funded by PEPFAR/CDC across Gokana, Tai, Etche and Andoni LGAs in Rivers State since 2019. So far, TenderLife provides Care and Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) across all its targeted LGAs and is currently neck-deep providing services to the teeming OVC and their households. Tenderlife prioritizes the enrollment of Children Living with HIV/AIDS (CLHIV) and their Households into the program and ensures they are provided with needed services mainly Health, Education, Protection and Economic empowerment. Tenderlife ensures that CLHIVs are healthy, stable and schooled.

We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

 

 

 

Job Title:  Finance and Administration Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Finance:

  • The F&A Officer will report to the ExecutiveDirector and seek approvals for all expenses.
  • S / he will organize all the accounting procedures of TRI, report all financial transactions to the Executive Director.
  • Monitors all financial obligations of program activities and ensures they are appropriately posted in their respective budget lines.
  • Ensuring timely retirement of advances received for meetings, travels& office operations
  • Guide Program staffs on budget direction and budget monitoring
  • Ensuring timely review of documents & settlement of bills and prepares the monthly / annual financial report to be disseminated to relevant stakeholders.
  • S / he records all income and expenditures, prepares invoices and salary payments.
  • Carry out any other task as assigned by the Executive Director

Administration:

  • Carry out general office management & logistics for planned activities
  • Maintaining proper inventory of project property and ensure accurate inventory reporting
  • General office management & operations
  • Develop third party contractual agreements, communicate and conclude contract with vendors and conduct procurement / quotations in line with ethical standards.
  • Conduct market assessments / survey to ascertain prevailing rates and guide the selection of vendors / products.
  • Supervise the Office Assistant / volunteer, cleaner and logistics officer / driver to ensure they carry out their jobs effectively.
  • Carry out any other task as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualification / Skills Required

  • B.Sc / BA / HND in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years post NYSC working experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Should be flexible to undertake other tasks required in the Organization to forestall a gap in achieving results
  • Must possess sound integrity especially in financial matters with vendors, staffs and funders
  • Familiarity with work ethics especially the course on “Avoiding Conflict of Interest in the Workplace” is a requirement particularly for this role.
  • Should be willing to transfer skills and build the capacity of staffs in the relevant financial procedures
  • Be empathetic and hardworking
  • Must have computer skills especially Ms-Excel and Ms-Word
  • Familiar with the use of accounting software especially QuickBooks

  • Must possess sound integrity especially in financial matters

Job Title: Program Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Reports to: Executive / Project Director
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Program Manager is responsible for managing TenderLife’s project team, ensure project team is achieving all targets and deliverables as regards strengthening collaboration with facility and community in identifying eligible OVC (especially OVC infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, enrolling them as guided by the National Guidelines on OVC and based on priority target streams).
  • Liaise with community gatekeepers especially the Community Development Committee, be able to attend community town hall meetings, facility review meetings or other platforms to sensitize communities on the Organizational aims;
  • Be able to manage the budget, planning and management of projects under TenderLife.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will supervise and coordinate the M&E officer, Health linkages / referral officer, the Community Coordinators and Community Volunteers across the LGAs of operation
  • Implement program activities as contained in TenderLifeworkplan
  • Provide comprehensive HIV / AIDS and TB services and coordinate prevention activities, identification, referral and support of HIV positive clients, follow-up of clients on Nutrition, ART and / or TB treatment and follow up of PMTCT mother-baby pairs, home-based care, OVC and other related services and link them with the health-facility based services and vice versa (bi-directional linkages).
  • Ensure smooth community entry of TenderLife into all communities of operation and ability to conduct advocacy visits to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with funders and Implementing partners
  • Carry out an effective and efficient implementation of the community HIV / AIDS services provided
  • Deeply understand the OVC / HIV / TB PEPFAR indicators, Network with other State Government, CSO and community partners in the State to establish a functional referral system for OVC households between clinical and community-based HIV / AIDS services.
  • Document programmatic achievements and keep the Executive / Project Director informed on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Be willing to function effectively in any job role for which he / she is supervising
  • Have an excellent professional relationship with community structures, facility staffs and beneficiaries
  • Maintain an effective coordination across all service points at the hospital facilities and provide home-based care to vulnerable households
  • Represent Tenderlife in stakeholder meetings and events
  • Achieve organizational enrollment and service targets
  • Monitor programs to ensure they are meeting up with expected targets
  • Participate in routine monitoring visits to project sites, including Data Quality Assessment (DQA) using official tools and providing supporting supervision / Conduct data quality audits at all service points at the facility and across all OVC households at the community level
  • Routinely validate monthly summary forms for OVC programming as it interacts with ART (Anti-Retroviral Therapy), PMTCT (Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission),GBV(Gender-Based Violence), HTS (HIV Testing Services) and TB (Tuberculosis) thematic units, including triangulating key data elements across other service delivery units.
  • Lead the Business Development Unit (Proposal writing and sourcing for grants)
  • Carry out any other task as assigned by the Core Implementation Team (CIT)

Qualification / Skills Required

  • Ability to practically align the project to achieve the 95-95-95 goal
  • Ability to observe and counsel young people and children is a requirement
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with the Ogoni region is an added advantage
  • Being a trained Peer educator is an added advantage
  • Should be flexible to undertake other tasks required in the Organization to forestall a gap in achieving results
