Job Title: Corporate Affairs Specialist

Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full time

Position Summary

  • We are currently looking for a Corporate Affairs Specialist, to help deliver our company’s strategic communications and stakeholder engagement priorities in Nigeria.
  • The Corporate Affairs Specialist will support in adapting and executing initiatives to sustain and strengthen Nestlé Nigeria’s reputation as a force for good, sustain Nestlé's influence as a respected and trusted partner and contributor to economic and social development, nurture and deepen Nestlé’s relationships with relevant stakeholders to increase the reach of the positive social and economic impact that our activities have in the market.
  • He/She will also work with relevant stakeholders to retain Nestlé Nigeria’s share of voice while contributing to business success as a specialist in reputation management and stakeholder engagement.

A day in the life of the Corporate Affairs Specialist

  • Promote and protect Nestlé’s reputation and influence in the marketplace
  • Develop and execute integrated corporate communications strategies with emphasis on Nestle's contributions to nutrition, communities, and the planet.
  • Provide communications insight to the CCPA Manager and other functions/businesses as necessary.
  • Articulate and align communications strategies around internal communications; media relations; stakeholder relations; crisis management; sustainability and creating shared value initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders to sustain good community and working relationships for our business to thrive.

What Will Make You Successful?

  • A Degree in Communications or a Communications Professional Certification. Member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Public Relations and Corporate Communications roles
  • A consummate communicator both in written and verbal forms
  • Experience working in different business functions
  • Self-motivated
  • Skilled in managing superiors and working effectively with colleagues
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in French would be an added advantage.
  • Positive work attitude
  • Strong team collaboration mindset
  • Experience in a corporate environment and/or with an agency managing a wide range of corporate clients
  • Passionate about making a difference in the society through effective communications
