Precious Palm Royal Hotel is a sensational resort strategically located in a serene and cozy and Transport, Headquarters, Lagos – Benin Expressway, Isiohor, Ugbowo environment; and shares a common boundary with the Nigerian Army School of Supply, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Cook / Chef

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Able to operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, microwaves, fryers, etc.
  • Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or customers.
  • Responsible to maintain cleanliness, sanitation at the assigned work area.
  • Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification. Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist.
  • Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods and report any incidents to the Executive Chef to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Maintain correct portion size and quality of the food to the hotel's standards.
  • Minimize waste and maintain control to attain forecasted food cost.
  • Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel.
  • Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Prepare all menu items by strictly following recipes and yield guide.
  • Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes and other food items.
  • Slices, grind and cooks meats and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits, vegetables and also able to weigh, measure and mix ingredients on correct proportions.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the Executive Chef, F&B Manager or Management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND / Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years work experience.
