We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Construction Quality Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Co-operate with Mechanical Completion coordinator, Engineering and Commissioning team to ensure all the deliverables required to build the Completion Database in line with the contractual requirements (TAG list / Family TAG list / System and subsystem list / Check sheet and ITP).
  • Grant that scanned check sheets are imported into MC database.
  • Coordinate for punch list walkdowns after inspection activities completed.
  • Prepare list of authorized persons to generate Punch list.
  • Preparation of Tender documents
  • Assign Subsystems/Check Sheets to each components/TAGS according to approved ITPs.
  • Regular monitoring of progress of inspection activities for Construction, Precommissioning & Commissioning phase according to MC Handover Procedure.
  • Participate to Weekly meetings with Construction/Commissioning teams for hand over completion according to commissioning prioritization.
  • Initiating, planning, and implementing process improvement strategies for operation.
  • Verify that all the Punch points are properly characterized in the punch list forms before inputting them to MC database.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • CSWIP 3.1, Certificate Number 346411
  • ISO 9001 Internal auditor
  • ASNT Level II- Magnetic Particle Testing
  • ASNT Level II- Ultrasonic Testing
  • ASNT Level II- Radiography Testing
  • ASNT Level II- Penetrant Testing

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/ Control, QMS, Welding and NDT of Offshore and Onshore Jobs.

Key Skills:

  • Special proficiency in preparing and compiling ITP, WPS, PQR, WPQR, QA/QC Procedures, Method of Statement and submitting to client for approval as per project specification.
  • Extended expertise in managing Inspection activities, Customer complaints, ISO activities, Training, performing Inspections, etc.
  • Having knowledge on the environment and safety aspects and strictly follow rules & regulations.
  • Proven strength in leveraging technology for increased efficiency, as well as trouble shooting, problem solving, and coordination for improved productivity.
  • Ability to learn the operational know-how in different types of projects.
  • Adept at working efficiently in a multicultural and demanding work environment and meet deadlines.
  • Expertise in evaluating and auditing sub-contractors for services like Fabrication, Destructive, Non Destructive testing, PWHT, Blasting/Painting.
  • Skilled at preliminary inspection of Fit-up, Welding, PWHT, Hydro Test, Blasting/Coating of products
  • Instrumental in coordinating and witnessing Destructive and Non Destructive testing such as RT, UT, DPT, MPT.
