Cargo Pump Specialist at the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board


The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established in 2010 by the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act. NCDMB is vested with the mandate to make procedures that will guide, monitor, coordinate and implement the provisions of the NOGICD Act signed into law on April 22, 2010. 

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Cargo Pump Specialist

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Oversees testing and monitoring of wells, pumps, storage facilities and other equipment
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on the pumps and pipe sections and on gas and oil meters and gauges
  • Supervision and Safety: Controls the main cargo pumps and stripping pumps used in discharging cargo from the vessel
  • Specialised monitoring systems in the cargo control room.
  • Pipeline, Offshore, Onshom, Synthetic Crude, Liquid Natural Gas, Oil & Gas, Pump Division, Product and industry cargo pump specialists develop effective cargo stripper pumps for loading and unloading and speciality pumps to accomplish the tasks.
  • Responsible for the safety of staff and production facilities.
  • Performs a variety of skilled, joumay-level duties involved in the inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, mpair and servicing of oil distribution and waste collection equipment, components, facilities and machinery, such as pipes, tubes, rods seals, shafts, stuffing boxes, gears, motors, bearings
  • Provides design, review and technical support during all phases of capital projects
  • Prevides construction, final equipment checkout and approval
  • Primary Responsibilities: Operate and maintain power pumps auxiliary equipment used to pump oil.
  • Secondary Tasks: Using tools and their mechanical skills, pumpers

Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or similar educational qualideation in a relevant branch of engineering, electrical, mechanical, or engineering science from a recognised institution and must be a chartered engineer with a minimum of 7 years relevant working experience.
  • Makes day-to-day decisions within er for s group/small department
  • Hat some authority forpersonnel actions.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of department prices.
  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
  • Supervises a group of primarily para- professional level staft.
  • May also be a level above a supervisor within a high-volume administrative/ production environment
