Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience.
- B.Ed in Guidance and Counseling, M. Ed/Certification in Guidance and Counseling would be an added advantage.

Job Title: Head, Special Education Needs
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- We are seeking to hire an experienced SENCO to ensure the Strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN) and oversee the day to day operation of the Learning Support Unit.
Job Functions
The job functions include but are limited to the following:
- Strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Put provision in place to ensure that progress of pupils with SEN improves relative to those without SEN
- Ensure that the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with a Statement of Special Educational Needs.
- Support the identification of and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for individual pupils with SEN.
- Undertake day-to-day co-ordination of SEN pupils' provisions through close liaison with staff, parents and external agencies
- Leads the performance management process for SEN teachers and Learning Support team
- Work with members of the learning support unit to develop effective ways of bridging barriers to learning
- Collect and interpret specialist assessment data to inform practice
- Monitor progress through regular meetings or sessions
- Teach classes
- Conduct research
- Utilize learning technology in the area of Special Education Needs.
- To keep up to date with changes and reforms.
- Develop lesson plans in line with the curriculum objectives.
- Any other duties relating to the job as required from time to time by the Director of Education, Head of School /Principal.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- BSc/ B.Ed in Special Education Needs or any other related discipline.
- Masters or Post Graduate qualification in a related subject is an added advantage
- 3- 5 years related experience
- Past involvement in extracurricular activities
- High Level of IT literacy
