The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS), a global fellowship of Non-Denominational Christian Organizations whose primary mission involves translation of the Holy Scriptures into languages people can easily read and understand as well as production and distribution of the Scriptures to meet the different needs of everyone. It also organizes programmes to encourage interaction with the Scriptures and raises fund for these activities.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Audit Assistant
Location: Abuja
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Auditing of the activities of assigned BSN offices in the Northern part of Nigeria
- Ensure strict compliance with the BSN policies; Monitor staff advances and recovering debts and report the true state of same to the Divisional Manager in Lagos.
- Ensure strict adherence to necessary mechanisms put in to detect and prevent errors and frauds early; Report every observed variances or breach of BSN operational standard promptly and so on
Personnel Specifications
- Must possess a National Diploma in Accounting and / or ATS with sound and practical knowledge of accounting software preferably Sage 50
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Power point, Word, Excel, etc
- The job holder must have a minimum cognate experience of 2-3 years in an internal Audit / Control and Finance function from a reputable organization

Job Title: Guestroom Attendant
Locations: Ibadan - Oyo & Lagos
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Ensures thorough and impeccable cleaning of guest rooms, guest house halls and its environment.
- Reports any noticed facility deficiency or fault in the guest room for immediate attention.
- Ensures total readiness of unoccupied guest rooms for use as may be needed always.
- Ensures guest rooms are kept clean, attractive and good for use of the guests always.
Personnel Specification
- Must have a Senior School Certificate with at least credit pass in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics.
- Must be a highly disciplined individual, energetic and of sound health.
- Must be a person of integrity, good character, result-driven and able to take good initiatives in cleaning.
- The jobholder must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar job from reputable guest houses.
- Must possess excellent administrative and communication skills; must be a team player and able to coordinate team members to achieve expected results.
Job Title: Senior Manager - Church & Public Relations
Location: Nigeria
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the department
- Networking with BSN formations in the areas of fundraising, reports and information dissemination
- Motivate the departmental staff to stimulate exceptionally performance in mobilizing funds for the Society's operations
- Initiate and develop marketable fundraising products to the Christians and BSN public for sponsorship
- Identify and support genuine mission field operators in a way that will produce a multiplier effect on return on mission in collaboration with relevant department.
- Plan programmes and activities that will make BSN a household name in Nigeria
- Ensure effective Church / Public & Media Relations.
- Write self-sustainable fundraising programmes and design sustainable fundraising products.
Personnel Specifications
- Must be a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree holder and a member of relevant chartered and recognized professional bodies with 10 years cognate work experience out of which 5 must be at a Senior Management level in a structured environment
- Ability to relate with various Church denominations in the spirit of ecumenism, High level of social and public relations skills, highly creative and innovative with ability to constantly develop new fundraising products as quickly as possible to meet donors needs.
- High level of listening skills and impeccable oral communication and sound body language.
- Able to face audience / congregation and convince them to support BSN's activities
- Spiritual, mental and moral maturity; Strategic leadership and analytical skills.

Job Title: Guest Service Agent
Locations: Ibadan - Oyo & Lagos
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Manages guests’ reservations and attends to their enquiries and complaints promptly.
- Responsible for the checking in and out of guests.
- Ensures guests’ privacy, and ensures guest complaints are promptly and adequately addressed.
- Ensures that daily sales report is transmitted to the management.
- Ensures comprehensive preparation of hand over note as shift report to another colleague to follow-up
- Ensure the hygienic condition of the guests’ rooms and promptly report of out of order rooms for quick action.
- Promptly address and report any noticed breach of the guest house values, standards and policies by any guest.
Personnel Specifications
- The applicant must possess National Diploma from a reputable Polytechnic, or Hotel and Catering Management with minimum of 2 years cognate experience from reputable hotels- or guest houses.
- Must possess good interpersonal, communication and relational skills.
- Must possess ability to handle and solve customer’s problem promptly.
- Must be computer literate, a team player; flexible, not easily provoked, highly sensitive and security conscious, customer-centric and always hungry for and able to deliver timely results.

The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Type mail-able documents that are error free for operational / administrative use.
- Process, manage and coordinate relevant documents, data / information and other resource tools relating to the activities of the department to drive the growth and achievement of set goals
- Provide strategic secretarial functions to help achieve set goals.

- Must have a National Diploma in Secretarial Administration, must be someone who is intelligent, highly confidential, firm but levelheaded, able to work under pressure, disciplined, quality and result driven.
- S / he must have a minimum of 4 years cognate experience in a structured setting.

Job Title: Driver
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure effective and efficient use as well as proper handling of any assigned vehicle for optimum function always.
- Ensures assigned vehicle documents are valid, complete and up to date always. Reports any noticed faults, breakdown or part defect in the vehicle immediately and follow up until repair or replacement is perfectly done.
- Ensure prompt servicing of assigned vehicles and monitoring of same for quality delivery.
- Ensure the correct and appropriate use of the vehicle for its intended purpose(s)
Personnel Specification
The successful candidate will among others do the following:
- Candidate should be a Senior School Certificate holder; must be a person of integrity, good character, disciplined and has good knowledge of traffic codes and signs.
- He must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience, possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive both light weight vehicles (small cars and buses) and trucks (14-16 tons) would be an added advantage.
- A primary school leaving certificate holder with a good and impeccable knowledge of driving with at least 10 years driving experience may equally apply.
- Must possess excellent administrative and communication skills; must be a team player and able to coordinate team members to achieve expected results.
