Job Title: Church Pianist

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Summary

• A Church in Abuja seeks a skilled, creative, and dedicated pianist to provide musical leadership and support for our church services and events.
• The successful candidate will have a strong musical background, excellent technique, and the ability to play a wide range of religious, contemporary and inspirational music. He must have experience in musical production

Responsibilities

• Play piano for Sunday services, special events, and other church functions
• Collaborate with the music director and other musicians to plan and prepare music for services and events
• Rehearse and prepare music for performances
• Maintain and improve musical skills through practice and professional development
• Creatively accompany congregational singing, choirs, and soloists
• Play for special services, such as weddings, funerals, and other church services

Requirements

• A degree in any discipline is an added advantage
• Strong piano training and experience
• Ability to work collaboratively with other musicians and church staff
• Flexibility and reliability
• Music production
• Ability to play a wide range of religious, comptemporary and inspirational music
• Excellent technique and sight-reading skills
• Strong musicality and expression

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be born again
• Ability to improvise and play by ear
• Experience with music technology and software
• Experience playing in church settings and must be creative
• Familiarity with hymns, choruses, and other religious music

Working Conditions:

• Performances and rehearsals may take place in the church sanctuary or other venues
• May require evening and weekend work.

Salary
N80,000 / month.
