Job Title: Calibration Technician

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Summary

  • As a Calibration Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments and equipment within our organization.
  • Working in a dynamic and technically-driven environment, your responsibilities will include calibrating a variety of devices, conducting tests, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Your attention to detail, technical proficiency, and commitment to quality will contribute to the precision and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Calibration Procedures: Execute calibration procedures for a diverse range of measurement instruments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Calibration Database: Update and manage the calibration database, keeping track of all calibrated instruments, their calibration due dates, and any historical data relevant to calibration.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance overall product quality and reliability. Work closely with the quality control team to address any non-conformance issues.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform tests on equipment to identify and rectify any deviations from specified tolerances. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with precision measurement tools.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain calibration equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability. Report and address any malfunctions promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of calibration activities, including calibration dates, test results, and any adjustments made. Generate calibration certificates as needed.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to calibration. Ensure that all calibration processes align with relevant quality and compliance guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to address calibration requirements and provide technical support. Communicate effectively with colleagues to facilitate smooth workflow.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or Certification in Meteorology, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
