Job Title: Business and Technical Writer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality business and technical documents, including reports, manuals, proposals, specifications, and user guides.
  • Conduct thorough research to gather information from subject matter experts, technical staff, and relevant literature.
  • Review and revise content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
  • Create documentation that is user-friendly and suitable for the target audience, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to help users understand and utilize technical information effectively.
  • Work closely with engineers, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  • Organize and manage documentation libraries and ensure all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek ways to improve documentation processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business and technical writing.
  • Technical Writing certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and standards.
  • Ability to write proposals is a must
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, MadCap Flare, and other content management systems.

Skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and version control practices.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documents.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary
N120,000 / Month.
