We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Project Controls Lead Location: Nigeria Job Type: Contracts Category: Others Job Nature: Normal (Minimum 8 hours per day) Main Functions

  • Project Controls Lead (PCL) implements overall project controls direction through application of systems and methods for estimate development, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development / control and management of change.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate data and deliverables in support of benchmarking and tool building
  • Provide overall project cost, schedule, progress measurement, and change management leadership and expertise
  • Provide support to Project Team and Stewards with cost and schedule analysis, reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  • Development of Project Controls Plan and Management of Change (MOC) Plan
  • Ensure that the Stewardship process is established and implemented, leading to monthly cost and schedule stewardship reviews
  • Coordinates and communicates priorities for new and ongoing estimating, planning and cost control activities
  • Leads preparation and maintenance of the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), the Original Control Budget (OCB), Current Control Budget (CCB) and Project Master Schedule, and Budget (P&B), and the overall cost and progress control system
  • Coordinate the collecting, analyzing, and reporting of project cost and schedule control information, to ensure overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas identified; prepares overall cost and schedule forecasts
  • Administer and facilitates the Management of Change process
  • Facilitate Capital Efficiency / Opportunities and Vulnerabilities process
  • Interface with Controllers regarding AFEs/budgets and invoices and development of Work-In-Place
  • Participate in bid evaluation process (as required)
  • Participate in developing Contract Price Budgets and Contract Control Schedules and Milestones
  • Ensure familiarity of Project Controls team with Contractor payment terms and contract coordination procedures applicable to their scope
  • Leads preparation for Gates Reviews, Advance Commitment, Full Funding or Supplement activities - Coordinates development of cost and schedule estimates in preparation of Gate and Check Point/Advance Commitment reviews - Coordinate development of Estimate Confidence Packages and Estimate Development Plans
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from PMT related to Controls/Reporting
  • Consortium / Affiliate / Joint Venture presentations
  • Supports preparation of Close-out Reporting / CA$HD Input Perform quality assurance at the project level by monitoring and appraising the performance of Contractors in the areas of cost control, progress measurement and schedule control
  • Responsible for ensuring that proper and effective project control measures are executed by the Contractor; including the Contractor’s cost and schedule control organization, plans and procedures
  • Review progress measures reported by the Contractor
  • Review cost and schedule bases of Contractor's Change Proposals / Orders; including progress trends developed by Contractor
  • Assist site management in developing/reviewing cost and schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented Manage the Cost and Schedule organization including the Contractor sites and serve as the central link from the Project to the Project Services Functional Organization
  • Maintain close liaison with other members of the Project Services organization on the Project and the Company Project Services Function
  • Coordinates development of Project Controls Implementation Plan tailored to the specific project
  • Provide feedback and mentor to project controls engineers and planners in the project
  • Review and, where appropriate, endorse schedule, progress and cost baselines and forecast prepared by contractors
  • Ensure Functional alignment for support and approval of key deliverables (i.e. Estimate Confidence Package, Estimate Development Plan, etc.)
  • Drives and promotes capital efficiency in Project Services and on projects being stewarded by the department
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
  • 5-10 years of project controls experience focused on cost control and schedule control achievements

    Job Title: Business Lead Location: Nigeria Job Type: Contracts Job Nature: Normal (Minimum 8 hours per day) Main Functions
  • To promote the efficient execution of the project by facilitating effective communication between management and sub-project elements through business services activities and oversight responsibilities
  • To promote and ensure the application of the Company Capital Projects System
  • Assist deliverables development and provide Project Team (PT) leadership during the Select and Define Stages of their assigned project
  • Manage the project business services and contracting and materials management organization and functional interfaces through the Execution Stage
  • Manage the overall project Cost & Schedule process, including implementing effective project controls and reporting across the project
  • Provide project monitoring information and metrics to ensure alignment with plans, project controls and Project Objective and Strategy
  • Support integration of activities across Controllers, Contracting and Project Execution
  • Support funding actions

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a champion for Capital Efficiency, working with the project team and function to optimize project costs

  • The BL is usually associated with a component of the project and reports to the Project Manager of that component.
  • Responsible to lead, coach, mentor, assess performance of, and develop all employees assigned to the business team and contracting and materials management team.
  • Responsible for implementing processes from Select phase through Execution phase (see deliverables, also consult the Organization Reference Manual and Contracts & Materials Manual for more detailed responsibilities)
  • Establish Cost and Schedule controls processes and procedures, e.g., Management of Change, monthly CSSR preparation, etc.
  • Establish Business Support procedures for the Project, e.g., JP stewardship, coordination of monthly PT meetings/reviews (e.g., PLTs, CSSR, etc.), internal/external report preparation (e.g., CoV reports, F&O inputs, etc.), etc.
  • Establish Information Management processes and procedures
  • Establish Interface Management processes and procedures
  • Provide timely and accurate data and deliverables in support of benchmarking and tool building
  • Ensure compliance with terms of Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) and the Contractor Group Operating Agreement (CGOA) such as external annual budgeting, monitoring, and reporting

  • Business Manager: 7+ years in Project Management / Execution / Contracting experience

  • Competent level proficiency in Project Planning, Execution, Scheduling, Project Controls, EMCAPS, Brownfield Toolkit, procurement, contract development/administration, project accounting, and information management.

  • Responsible for ensuring that the company and its contractors provide the individuals, groups, communities and local government authorities with timely, consistent and accurate information regarding the company's project/ operations and conduct direct consultation with the local communities as a basis to identify concerns.
  • Conduct public awareness campaign/general information sessions.
  • Ensure community development investments are aligned with company’s strategy and approach.
  • Provide guidance on potential strategic mitigation measures for impacts on communities.

  • Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the project's goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Assures accurate and timely communication among the Project Team and Company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
  • In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
  • Coordination and communication of various issues among the company’s and contractor's engineering team that affect the discipline engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work
  • Steward discipline engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests
  • Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of discipline engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
  • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations
  • Drives and promotes capital efficiency in engineering design
  • Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Includes review of discipline design drawings and documents
  • Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure that such deviations will be processed according to project procedures and maintains Deviation Control Log
  • Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by Supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Closely related professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering within discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software program.
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications site.
