Job Title: Admin Officer

Job Summary

  • The Admin Officer is the first point of contact for visitors and manages the reception area. He/she must be customer centric, courteous, warm and able to efficiently deal with all calls, enquiries and complaints. S/he must also be able to conduct research and work in project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly receive all visitors, managing the building log of people that enter and exit the building.
  • Handle filing and data entry on all administrative databases
  • Handling of flight bookings and logistics for staff going out of station
  • Learning and development: on the job and through company sponsored trainings
  • Respond to enquiries, alerting staff when they have a guest, and providing directions to visitors to appropriate offices.
  • Accepting deliveries and mail to the office, and ensuring they are delivered to the recipient in a timely manner, and also managing outgoing mail and packages for pickup.
  • Prepare budget and monitor usage, ensuring all funds are properly retired
  • Monitor stock and place supply orders periodically for replenishment
  • Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and free of clutter.
  • Any other function as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Project Work:
Work in project teams to achieve business goals as seen below:

  • Conduct market research, analyzing data to identify opportunities to improve business performance or threats in existing markets
  • Create proposals for new business ventures including feasibility studies, projections, and marketing plans.

Qualifications

  • HND / BA / BSc in any Social Science or art discipline
  • 2-4 years previous experience in a similar role

Skills:

  • Customer service and centricism
  • Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to multi-task and solve problems promptly
  • Keen knowledge of office management practices
  • Good time management skills
