  • The Business Development Manager role at Supermart is a senior role where the ideal candidate will be expected to open doors to and close deals at the executive level of potential client organizations.
Job Responsibilities The role has three primary responsibilities:
  • Identifying new business opportunities with corporate clients whose needs can be solved via our services
  • Pitching and closing deals with potential clients for our products and/or services
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
Day-to-day Duties typically include:
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions
  • Understanding the needs of potential clients and being able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Developing quotes and proposals
  • Attending meetings with executive level prospects and closing deals
  • Following up on old clients and new prospects
Qualification and Experience
  • University degree, MBA an advantage
  • A good understanding of business and sales
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporates Sales &/or Business Development in a structured environment
Skills To be an effective business development executive, an individual must:
  • Have a good knowledge of the business landscape in Nigeria and beyond
  • Have the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Be skilled in prioritizing and triaging obligations
  • Have attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organization
  • Have experience in target-driven business development
  • Be socially adept
  • Good with numbers
  • Be strong in communication and fluent in IT
  • Be creative and able to solve tough problems
Remuneration
  • Base Salary
