We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Expediter Location: Lagos Job: Expediting Schedule: Full-time Employment Type: Contractor Job Level: Experienced Reporting Manager Title: Contracts & Procurement Manager Duration of Contract: 6 Months Job Description

  • Compile and publish timely and accurate progress, situation, MoM and ad hoc expediting reports to ensure Project Management is fully informed of status, progression, and potential problems and issues.
  • Provide continuous updates via data entry to SPM, and other XL reports to ensure the Client and Project Management are continuously appraised of progress and trends liable to impact construction requirements.
  • Undertake and complete additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Lead Expeditor or the Deputy Lead Expeditor.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Provide a proactive supplier expediting surveillance support service to Project by ensuring material and documentation deliverables proceed in accordance with contractual requirements, and fully in compliance with Project policies and procedures
  • Monitor, contact and progress supplier performance on a routine basis ensuring timelines for design, materials, manufacturing, inspection, and shipping are expedited and performed in accordance with agreed purchase order delivery schedule and project construction schedule.
  • Identify potential problems in supply chain deliverables, recommending and initiating expediting measures to maintain or recover supplier progress against contractual dates and construction schedule.
  • Participate in, and conduct internal review meetings and supplier field meetings to review and verify progress of materials and documentation activities against project schedule.
  • Liaise with the Client, Project support groups and field representatives to ensure potential snags are minimised and ongoing issues are understood and properly communicated to safeguard the Project schedule.
Industry Specific Experience
  • Minimum 6 years similar or transferable experience, within manufacturing, engineering, technical sales.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
  • Bachelors degree or HND within any related disciplines.
