George Houston Resources Limited - Our client in the Hospitality industry is seeking suitably qualified candidate to fill the vacant position below:     Job Title: Accounting Technician Location: Lagos Duties Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:

• Account payable and receivables
• Vendor management and expense control
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills.
• Payroll administration
• Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods
• Preparing profit and loss accounts and the balance sheet
• Reconciling bank statements
• Keeping a careful eye on the cash flow, keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and relevant Financial Application.

Qualification and Experience

• OND in Accounting or related field with minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar role with relevant professional qualification.

Competencies:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent commercial sense
• Good IT skills, particularly in the use of spreadsheets
• Must be honest, trustworthy, articulate and be able to work under pressure.
• Must be conversant with the use of Financial Applications.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
