Job Title: Provost
Location: Adamawa
Job Responsibilities (Duties)
The Provost is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the College and shall exercise general authority over staff and students and be responsible for the discipline in the College. Among other functions, the Provost shall:
- Be competent at all times, advise the Council on any matter affecting the policy, finance and administration of the College;
- Be generally responsible to the Council for maintaining the efficiency and good order of the College and for ensuring the proper enforcement of the statutes, standing orders and regulations;
- Be expected to provide the required Academic, Administrative and Professional leadership for the College in executing the broad policies laid down by the Governing Council for the achievement of the objectives for which the institution was established;
- Have such powers and perform such other functions as the Council may delegate to him
Qualifications and Qualities of the Candidate
- Candidate must possess a good Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University in a field relevant to at least one programme in the College. Possession of a Master's or Ph.D Degree in a field relevant to at least one programme in the College, shall be an added advantage.
- He / She should be a registered and active member of a Professional Association in the field of Agriculture.
- Candidate must not be above the age of sixty-one (61) years at the time of taking up the appointment.
- Candidate must possess a minimum of Fifteen (15) years post qualification teaching / research experience in a Tertiary Institution; and in addition must have held a senior teaching / research and top administrative post in an institution of higher learning as evidence of ability to manage human and materials resources.
- Candidate must show evidence of good track record in result oriented researches and reaching high National and International status in their research achievement, as evident in scholarly publications.
- Candidate must be a Chief Lecturer or its equivalent of at least five (5) years cognate experience.
- Candidate must be information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
Terms of Appointment
- The appointment is for the tenure of four (4) years in the first instance, but the candidate may be eligible for re-appointment for a second and final term of four (4) years based on satisfactory performance.
- The salary / remunerations and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Provost in all state owned Tertiary Institutions and as may be determined by Government policies from time to time.
Job Title: College Librarian
Location: Adamawa
Job Responsibilities (Duties)
- The Librarian is a Principal Officer of the College responsible for the Administration of the College Library and coordination of all Library Services in the entire College. The College Librarian shall be responsible to the Provost for the administration of the College library and coordination of all Library services in the College.
- He / She shall be responsible for framing Library policies, personal contacts and liaise with Departments on book requirements / giving professional advice on Library matters
Qualifications and Qualities of the Candidate
- Candidate must possess a good Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University. Possession of a Master's Degree or Ph.D in Library Science or Library and Information Science shall be an added advantage.
- The Candidate should not be below the rank of a Deputy Librarian or its equivalent.
- Candidate must be a member of a Professional body in Library Science.
- Successful candidate must not be more than Fifty-five (55) years of age at the time of assumption of duty.
- Candidates must present evidence of relevant publications in reputable local and international journals, seminars / conference papers or chapter contributions in relevant text books, or one standard text book in Library Science.
- Candidates must have a minimum of Twelve (12) years of cognate experience in Libraries of recognized Tertiary Institutions and must not be below the rank of Principal Librarian.
- Candidate must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.

Job Title: Registrar
Location: Adamawa
Job Responsibilities (Duties)
- The Registrar is the Secretary to the College Governing Council, Academic Board and Secretary to such bodies as the Provost may direct or as the Law and statutes may prescribe. The Successful Candidate shall be the Chief Administrative Officer of the College.
- He / She shall be responsible to the Provost for the day to day Administrative work of the College and shall provide the requisite administrative and professional advice to the College Management and executing the policies formulated by the Governing Council.
Qualifications and Qualities of the Candidate
Candidate must have the following;
- The candidate must possess a good Bachelor's Degree in Humanities or related disciplines obtained from a recognized University and must have had not less than Fifteen (15) years of relevant post-graduation experience in a College / University Administration or related institution. Possession of a higher Degree will be an added advantage
- The candidate should not be below the rank of a Deputy Registrar or Cognate Senior Management position.
- Candidate must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
- He / She must be of pleasant disposition, high integrity and strong moral character so as to inspire and maintain discipline among staff and students.

- The salary / remunerations and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Librarian in all state owned Tertiary Institutions and as may be determined by Government policies from time to time.
