Golden Transport Company (GTC) Limited though formally incorporated as a company in 2008, has been in operations right from the inception of Flour Mills Nigeria Plc. It has established effective nationwide haulage and distribution networks that enable sister company’s products to reach their customers on time and in excellent condition.

Golden Transport Company Limited has a dynamic history, its operations started as a Fleet Operations Department of FMN. By 1992, the Department was strengthened with the purchase of 46 BMC Fatih trucks. By 1998, the department was equipped with 203 Mercedes Benz V-6 trucks. By 2005, an arrangement to convert the Fleet Operations Division to a fully-fledged company with its own structure was concluded and on April 1st, 2008; the company started as a separate corporate personality - Golden Transport Company Limited.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Tracking Data Officer

Location: Nigeria
Job Schedule: Full time

Purpose of the Job

  • To coordinate the tracking of trucks and prompt reporting on business efficiency.

The Job

  • Responsible for tracking of trucks.
  • Co-ordinate activities of tracking data operators.
  • Handling of tracking facilities .
  • Responsible for monitoring tracking systems to ensure they function properly and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  • Ensure that tracking activities comply with relevant regulations and privacy laws.
  • Responsible for the organization and maintenance of data collected.
  • Ensures the Installation and maintenance of tracking devices on trucks.
  • Initiates and follows on queries to defaulting drivers.
  • Reports on account status with network providers.
  • Prompt reporting - tracking & business efficiency of trucks.

Qualifications

  • 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.
  • BSc or HND in Business Administration, Economics or other Social Sciences.

Experience:

  • 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for tracking and managing dispatch operations.

The Person Must:

  • Have an excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Good interpersonal relationship
  • Good working knowledge of dispatch activities.
  • High level of integrity and honesty.
  • Have strong analytical skills and approach to problem-solving.
