Job Title: Telecom Sales Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Telecom Sales role drives sales and revenue growth in the telecommunications industry.
  • The primary responsibility is to sell telecom products and services to individual customers or businesses.
  • The Telecom Sales professional must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • This position requires staying up to date with industry trends and technology advancements to promote and sell telecom solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand client's needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies and proposals.
  • collaborate with internal teams, including technical support, product development, operations, and marketing, to deliver comprehensive telecom solutions and to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide input and feedback to enhance product offerings and service quality.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and establish professional connections.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor analysis, providing insights for business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive and compelling proposals that address client requirements and differentiate our services.
  • Formulate effective sales strategies, including pricing, positioning, and go-to-market plans, to achieve sales targets and penetrate new markets.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions that align with the company's objectives.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Identifyand target potential customers in the assigned market segment or geographical area.
  • Generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients.

Key Performance Indicators

  • % Achievement of organisation client’s target
  • % of revenue growth
  • Achievement of sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Number of new clients acquired and retention rate.
  • Client satisfaction and conversion rate of leads to a closed deal
  • Timely submission of sales reports and forecasts.
  • Growth in the company's market share.
  • Effectiveness in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Contribution to the development of new business strategies

Education Required

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Training/certification in Telecom sales will be an added advantage

Experience:

  • 2-5 years experience in Telecom sales.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Track record of successful business development and sales achievements.
  • Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales; preferably in the Telecom industry
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand and address customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a results-oriented mindset

Knowledge Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of Telecom products, services, and solutions; including market trends and key players
  • Familiarity with sales techniques and practices Understanding of Telecommunication networks, technologies, and infrastructure
  • Awareness of market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in the telecom industry
  • Bidding & Contracting; Retail Management; Operations Management; Understanding of standard processes, regulatory standards, etc.

Remuneration
N150,000 Monthly.
