We are recruiting to fill the position of:     Job Title: Technical Operations Engineer Location: Nigeria Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and reporting of the Technical department’s field work plan.
  • Oversee the management and reporting of network operations activities (e.g. installation & maintenance) with recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute in ensuring compliance to all network related regulations (e.g. NigerianCommunications Commission).
  • Maintain regular interactions with key internal and external stakeholders in ensuring holistic partnerships and customer service/ satisfaction.
  • Conduct periodic review and report on team’s activities- including assessment of: workprogress, team performance and provide recommendation for continuous improvement.
  • Continuously analyze existing business and industry trends with a view to identify potential business opportunities.
  • The post holder maybe required to take on other responsibilities in line with business demands.
  • Conduct best practice research and review relevant case studies with the aim of identifyingcurrent/emerging industry trends
  • Lead Radio Frequency (RF) planning and optimization.
  • Contribute towards the installation of CNL’s network infrastructure and electrical assets (e.g. Radio Frequency (RF) & Optimization; Fibre Optic Cable (FOC), Very Small Aperture   Terminal (VSAT), Extra Low Voltage (ELV), Long Term Evolution (LTE), Microwave (MW) Radios, Base station power systems, generators, etc.) in accordance with international standards.
  • Contribute towards the continuous development of Network Operations unit.
  • Contribute towards the Network Operations management of faults.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline is desirable
  • Professional certification is desirable (e.g. CCNA, CCNP Wireless, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of network types (LAN, WAN, MAN) is essential
  • Advanced knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) & Satellite technology is essential

  • Ability to think strategically with an eye for detail is essential
  • Ability to communicate and manage relationships at all levels across the business is   essential
