Job Summary
- We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Manager to ensure the on-site execution of our new project. The Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily construction activities, overseeing quality standards, enforcing safety protocols, and managing resources effectively.
- This role is essential to ensure that the project meets its goals on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day construction activities and ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinate with the project manager, engineers, subcontractors, and labor teams to streamline operations.
- Monitor site activities to ensure alignment with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained, and manage on-site labor and subcontractors.
- Address any labor or resource issues to avoid project disruptions.
- Implement rigorous quality control protocols to meet engineering and regulatory standards.
- Conduct inspections to ensure materials, methods, and completed work meet quality requirements.
- Resolve unforeseen challenges quickly and implement solutions that align with project goals.
- Serve as a point of contact for any on-site emergencies or urgent issues.
- Maintain comprehensive records of daily site activities, safety incidents, material usage, and labor hours.
- Prepare regular progress reports for review by the project manager and stakeholders.
- Ensure all project documentation meets regulatory and company standards.
- Facilitate site visits and inspections as needed
- Address any deviations from quality standards with corrective actions.
- Enforce a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee site safety protocols, conduct daily safety briefings, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Maintain thorough safety documentation and conduct incident investigations if required.
- Address on-site issues, such as scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, and quality concerns.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in a construction management role, with proven success in the deliveryof 3+ large-scale projects.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software and budgeting tools.
- Proficiency in project management and site management software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of construction safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
