We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Supply Planning Coordinator - West Africa
Location: Lagos
About The Role
- The Supply Planning Coordinator is responsible for aligning and supporting the operational direction and strategy of the full Operations Function of Kerry West Africa from a business perspective.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for contract manufacturing/third party manufacturing partners across West Africa linking in with sites teams and aligning to regional goals and KPI’s.
- The coordinator will also be driving an effective and efficient supply chain for the West Africa region.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager between Third party Manufacturers, Copackers and Kerry.
- Deal with issues/escalations appropriately & as required.
- Strike & maintain close relationships with key Third party Manufacturers (TPM), Copackers leads/account managers/MDs etc.
- Implement purchase plans for TPM downpacker, packaging materials & other related materials for short- & long-term supply in Liaison with the Bakery Technologies operations team using the supply demand process & observing supply constraints, to meet customer service level objectives & maintain customer satisfaction.
- Manage the documentation for imports/exports, liaising with government agencies/interdepartmental & to deliver the goods on time against receipt of a full set of clean documents.
- Develop and maintain stock and logistics tracking tools for the TPM and Co Packer.
- Maintains general oversight and ensure accuracy of delivery timelines and orders for customers in the TPM plant.
- Enforces corporate policies regarding the ethical conduct of Kerry activities.
- Support the D&SP and customer care team in continuous improvement activities to drive planning excellence through efficiencies in capacity plan.
- Act as single point of contact to operation planning for Kerry West Africa.
- Support and implement purchase plans for raw, packing & other related materials for short- & long-term supply in Liaison with the TPMs procurement team using the supply demand process & observing supply constraints, to meet customer service level objectives & maintain customer satisfaction.
- Provide innovative supply chain solutions to support the West African team, ensuring the best solutions and operating companies are identified to meet the customers’ needs.
- Support and give inputs to the supply and operations planning process for West Africa to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.
- Build effective team and cross functional team working relationships.
- Committed monthly and other needed reports.
- Support the procurement team to negotiate with local suppliers for optimized prices and payment terms.
- Undertake any other tasks as may be desirably directed by the business.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role with at least 5 years’ experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Food & Beverage, Food Service, or Ingredients / Flavour industries.
- Proven capability to manage, monitor and review all import activities PO, shipment, eta port and eta warehouse
- Problem solving abilities, good organisational skills and follow through
- Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
- Cost management experience
- Good understanding of Food Management System, and Safety Environment Management System
