AMANA is a Non Governmental Organization implementing Health, Education and other developmental interventions in Niger State.It has interventions targeted at improving the living standard of people in the rural communities. These are focused on Access to Quality and affordable Health care, Care and Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Right to Just and Democratic Governance, Food security, Women's rights, Right to quality and affordable education.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Sponsorship Officer

Location: Minna, Niger
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • Develops implementation plans for all sponsorship activities and assigns duties and responsibilities to all field workers.
  • Implements the project activities in within his/her respective area of responsibility as per the annual work plan and budget.
  • Supervises the activities of field-based staff and consultants, and delivery of project outputs.
  • Prepare sponsorship activity report and ensures timely submission.
  • Supervises, coaches and mentors field staff for smooth activity implementation.
  • Oversees thedaily activities of the sponsorship team and ensures that project reports are completed and submitted on time.
  • Ensures that the implementation of work plan is consistent with the envisaged outputs and objectives of the project document.
  • Ensures a coordinated and collaborative approach is undertaken among project partners at field-level /in implementing activities interventions and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Attends meetings with partners , donors and agencies.

Qualification / Experience

  • A minimum of a Higher Degree in Social Sciences or Development Studies with a minimum o 1 year work experience.
  • Female applicants would be given preferential consideration
  • Not less than 1 year progressive work experience in community development. Practical experience in child sponsorship work will be an added advantage,
  • Computer proficiency in general office software applications (i.e. Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with process-oriented operations and workflows, well as with policies and standards.
  • Team player and with ability to supervise a team
  • Excellent organization and prioritizing skills – ability to handle and perform in fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Ability to speak at least one local language is an added advantage.
  • Practical experience in implementation of project activities in either an urban informal settlement or rural set-up,
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including good written and oral communication skills in English and fluency in Hausa.
  • Ability to work and supervise a team of volunteers,
