Thoughtful House has been working with children and families on the autism spectrum since 2010, and we have built our programs and practices focused on three main objectives that constitute our Vision.

Job Overview
We are looking to hire self motivated and vibrant special education teachers with most of the following basic requirements:

• Candidates should possess minimum of HND / Bachelor's Degrees in Education, Special Education or a related field with 0- 2 years relevant work experience.
• Applicant should be residing in Abuja.
• Demonstration of patience and empathy when working with students facing various challenges.
• Familiarity with basic classroom management techniques to create  a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Eagerness to learn and engage in ongoing professional development  to enhance teaching.
• Genuine interest in working with students with special needs and a commitment to their educational and social development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.

Skills

• Willingness to collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and specialists to meet the individual needs of students.
• Ability to observe student behavior, assess needs, and reflect on teaching practices.
• Adherence to ethical and professional standards in education.
• Awareness and respect for cultural diversity and its impact on  teaching and learning.
• Basic proficiency in using educational technology.
