SecureID Limited is a smart card manufacturing and personalisation bureau with expertise in the deployment and integration of digital solutions. Historically, we are positioned as the first commercially operated smart card manufacturing plant in sub-Saharan Africa with the ability to manufacture Poly-carbonate Cards amongst other card types.

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • We are a leading smartcard manufacturing plant and the fastest growing digital solution provider in Africa. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the sales team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth, identifying new business opportunities, and building strategic relationships.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies to achieve revenue growth and expand our customer base.

Responsibilities
Business Development Strategy:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue growth and expand SecureID’s customer base.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships that align with SecureID's goals and objectives.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including EMV, marketing, and product development.
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the team.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on business development performance, including sales revenue, customer acquisition, and market share.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at existing and prospective customer accounts.

Market Analysis and Research:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform business development strategies.

Educational & Professional Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Certification in marketing, such as CIM or NIM

Competencies & Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Banking experience with cards and digital team is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the industry/market and ability to identify new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
