SOS Children's Villages Nigeria - In 1970, after three years of civil
war, Hermann Gmeiner visited Nigeria on the invitation of the "National
Council of Women Society" (NCWS) and gained an insight on the needs of
the population, particularly those of the children.
After several
meetings with concerned individuals of the country, the SOS Children's
Village Committee under the leadership of Mrs. Awoliyi was founded; this
made it possible to raise the necessary funds for the construction of
an SOS Children's Village in Nigeria.
SOS Children's Villages Nigeria is recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator
Locations: Lagos, Ogun, Abuja & Plateau
Fixed Term - Five Years (Renewable)
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject areas
such as Community Development; Development Studies, Social Work; or
Social Sciences.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in the field of
Community Development or Social Services, especially with hands-on
experience in Monitoring & Evaluation.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills.
- Strong functional skills, including Financial, Human Resource, and Project Cycle Management.
- Good Planning and Reporting skills.Understanding of Child and
Family Development issues, including knowledge of Child Rights, and
Child Protection.
- Good networking, and collaborative skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing programme databases, including the use of SPSS and other relevant ICT software packages.
- Strong Communication, facilitation, leadership and coordinating
skills.Awareness and understanding of Social Development issues such
as the local and national OVC situation, gender, education, health, HIV
&AIDS.

- Ability to speak the local languages
- Previous work experience in a Non-Governmental Organization [NGO]/ International Non-Governmental Organization [INGO]
- Membership of the relevant Professional Associations.
Job Title: Fundraising & Sponsorship Coordinator
Locations: Lagos, Ogun, Abuja & Plateau
Fixed Term - Five Years (Renewable)
Requirements
- A Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Communication and Marketing.
- At least 3 years' cognate experience in any of following fields
- Human Rights Communication; Community Development; Project Design,
Management & Evaluation; Partnership Development; Funds Raising;
and Donor Relationship Management.
- Strong Communication, Facilitation and Negotiation skills.
- Project Proposal and Report Writing Skills.
- Planning and organization skills.
- Strong networking, tact and diplomacy as well as practical social manners.
- Discretion, honesty, sincerity and dynamism.
- Flexibility & ability to work with teams.
- Good ICT skills.
- Knowledge of other languages, including French as well as
experience in photography, especially of children, will be added
advantage.

Job Title: Subject Teacher - Mathematics
Location: Isolo, Lagos
Requirements
- NCE, B.Sc in Mathematics, B.Ed or other relevant sciences.
- Familiarization with the National Curriculum in the subject area.
- At least 3 years teaching experience in a primary school.
- Proven record of strong commitment to high academic standards.
- Commitment to the School's policies and procedures for
safeguarding students.Strong inter-personal, communication,
organizational and ICT skills
- Knowledge of Child's Rights.

- NCE/First Degree in English Language or other relevant fields.
- Familiarization with the National Curriculum in the subject area.
- At least 3 years teaching experience in a Junior Secondary School.
- Knowledge of Child's Rights.
- Strong communication skill.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Good ICT skills.
