Job Title: Senior Software Developer - Consultant
Location: Kano
Purpose of the Position
- The Senior, Software & Solutions Developer is responsible for developing and supporting projects, functions and completing specific client work, projects, and miscellaneous tasks.
- This highly responsible position involves using established work procedures to analyze, design, develop, implement, maintain, re-engineer and troubleshoot applications.
Job Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
- Directs technical aspects of operations related to client accounts or high severity issues
- Participates in the evolution of company-level software best practices, standards, and policies
- Defines objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality
- Works closely with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
- Collaborates with product owners, technical architects, and other software developers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web- and mobile-based applications
- Provides thought-leadership as to emerging technologies and integrate them into business operations
- Assists in the estimation and assessment of the feasibility of solutions for upcoming projects
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises assigned Project Management staff.
Job Requirements
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree from college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technology or related field. A postgraduate degree is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Development or an equivalent of education and experience.
- Well familiar with the whole software development life cycle (e.g. requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation) and execution models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, its module loaders and frameworks such as AngularJS and ReactJS.
- Strong understanding of Python and desirably Django.
- Thorough understanding of RESTful API design, usage, and best practices.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- Good understanding of databases and SQL. Exposure to NoSQL Databases ideal.
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems and environments.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
- Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
- Strong unit test and debugging skills as well as a proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git).
- Experience in creation and review of software and architecture designs.
- Fluent in English.

Job Title: Intern, Software Development
Location: Kano
Purpose of the Position
- The Intern, Software & Solutions Developer is to support and organize all type of project tasks for a new Product launch.
- Responsibilities include working closely with the other Software team member to prepare communications, coordinate meetings, and training sessions.
- Also, perform administrative duties such as maintaining documentation, and project logs. Also, this will involve much customer support activities with different end users of the Product.
Job Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide program and project support to the Health Informatics Manager and the Development management team.
- Design and develop software applications as required by the organization and its donors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software applications
- Analyze and study complex systems requirements. Prepare design documentation.
- Understand how data flows within various systems to provide input on requirements for databases to ensure data is organized properly for reporting and analytics.
- Prepare training manuals for users to ensure application ease of use.
- Works daily with a team of self-organized, cross-functional, talented developers to design, build and implement systems and software for a network.
- Works with a collaborative software development team and end users to implement system functionality and new features based on user requirements, use cases, prioritized project needs and/or stakeholder direction.
- Collaborates with product owners, and other software developers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain both web-& mobile-based applications
- Grows valuable skills in software interoperability, architecture, medical device integration, and component-based software design.
- Contribute toward the continuous improvement of project management methodology utilized within the Development team.
- Miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned to support the management team.

Location: Kano
Purpose of the Position
- The intern, UI/UX is responsible for gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with product developers.
- S/he will be responsible for illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
- S/he will design high fidelity mockups and user interface elements to be used in final production while under the supervision of a senior UI/UX Designer.

- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
- Present the user interface visually so information is easy to read, understand and find.
- Exceptionally effective communicator with the design team, product management team, and software engineers capable of thriving with remote and on-premises dynamics.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced iterative lean design environment.
- Create a product style guideline and lead visual consistency
Who You Are
- Ongoing or completed Bachelor's degree from college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technology or related field.
- Experience designing with style guides and pattern libraries and using a variety of tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, OmniGraffle, Sketch, etc.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering innovative, elegant designs working under broad directives with minimal hand-holding or oversight
- Comfortable with collaborating on and present work to a range of stakeholders - executives, engineers, product managers, business leaders, researchers, other UX, and visual designers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in graphic design, animation, typography, iconography, color theory and visual layout.
- Extensive experience with HTML/CSS layout and JavaScript prototyping.
- Experience with responsive design principles.
- Moderate or expert use of in UI design tools like Sketch and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience in storyboarding, wireframing and creating design specifications.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a problem-solving attitude is a must.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across the organization.
- Creative self-starter, team player with the ability to multi-task and focus.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
