We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Site Engineer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to site staff and subcontractors.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring a safe working environment.

Technical Duties:

  • Design Interpretation: Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.
  • Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to gather data for project planning.
  • Testing and Inspection: Oversee testing and inspection of materials, equipment, and workmanship.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues, developing and implementing solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage site budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Site Administration: Manage site offices, facilities, and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and licenses.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage site teams, including engineers, technicians, and laborers.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors' work.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:

  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards.
  • Waste Management: Oversee waste management and disposal.
  • Sustainability: Promote sustainable practices on site
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure environmental regulations are adhered to.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans.
