Job Title: Site Engineer

Job Brief

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer with over 6 years of experience and architectural background to join our company.
  • As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to architectural plans, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, supervising crew members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, and compiling reports for different stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Take ownership of construction projects from start to finish, managing and coordinating all on-site activities to ensure timely completion within budget.
  • Site Supervision: Provide hands-on supervision of construction activities, working closely with contractors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Architectural Expertise: Utilize your architectural background to review and interpret architectural drawings, collaborate with architects and designers, and offer valuable insights on design-related matters during construction.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to monitor project budgets, materials, and resources, ensuring efficient utilization and cost-effective construction practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local building codes, regulations, and permits, ensuring that construction activities comply with legal requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety on-site, implementing and enforcing strict safety measures and practices, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections to ensure that construction work meets architectural and engineering standards, as well as our company's quality requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, site reports, and inspection reports, and record any design or construction changes that occur during the project.

Qualifications, Required knowledge, skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer in the real estate industry, with a strong architectural background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols, regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid professional engineering license or certification is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary
N200,000 - N22,000 / month.
