Job Title: Sales Manager - Poultry & Layer

Location: Lagos

Description

  • We are currently looking for a Sales Manager - Poultry & Layer for our client, to present the company, their products and technical information to prospects and current clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify ways to improve performance and profitability of farm by implementation of products.
  • Providing advice on farm design and equipment lay-out
  • Manage territory goals by prospecting, following up, and maintaining clients
  • Conduct customer field research studies
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Conduct demos of technology and value offering
  • Stay up to date with new products/services and technology offerings
  • Follow up on payments for accounts
  • Seek an authoritative point of contact for the industry sector
  • Identify and build new sales channels
  • Increase sales substantially with matching growth in gross profit
  • Negotiating price and payment terms and resolving customer issues.
  • Analyze trial data and authoring technical sales presentations and reports
  • Present our company to potential clients (Conferences, Trade shows, Web Meetings, etc.)
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Present our company to potential clients (Conferences, Trade shows, Web Meetings, etc.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification Required: University graduate (B.Sc. Business Management, Agricultural Sciences, or related field)
  • Minimum Experience Required: 3-5+years experienced as a Sales Manager, preferably in Technical livestock equipment sales layer/broiler
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Extensive commercial “solutions” and negotiating skills and experience including services agreements and multi-client agreements specific to Nigeria and Sub-Saharan market
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Self-starter self-disciplined and target focused but able to work in a team matrix environment.
  • Hands-on experience with selling to a cold prospect (you have the endurance to withstand all the people saying “no” to find the person who says “yes”)
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Experience with MS Excel & PowerPoint (developing/analysing spreadsheets, charts, and presentations)
