Description
- Vectar is looking for a Sales Manager with experience in startups, strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial attitude, reporting to the CEO.
- The Sales Manager will be expected to coordinate sales and marketing , ensuring optimal service is delivered to all stakeholders including customers.
- The ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build our company's brand and increase sales of our high capacity products.
- Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct the team to drive sales of our products increasing sales performance.
- Develop powerful sales communication approaches to build trust in a new product, generate high-potential leads, and close sales to target consumers.
- Drive insights about the efficacy of sales and marketing initiatives and campaigns, market perceptions and customer pain points, and how we can deliver the best product experience for customers and sales agents.
- Work with the team to identify business development opportunities,and grant applications
- Manage both our existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities
- Take a lead role in developing new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term in accordance with targets
- Lead the conceptualization, deployment, and optimization of sales and marketing processes that accelerate quality sales growth through the building of our market presence
- Enhance the performance of sales by implementing and managing support tools, including incentive structures, pitch materials, and performance management systems.
- Initiate and manage relationships with channel partners and other stakeholders to support sales efforts
- Design and organize an efficient leads management system, driving high conversion rates and providing clarity on sales forecasting efforts across multiple sales channels (direct field sales, telesales, partners, etc.)
- Manage the communication channels where the customers are, delivering optimal customer service
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience, skills and qualification:
- Education: Diploma or Degree required, preferably in Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Skills: Ability to analyze and present data clearly, work with Excel, PowerPoint, and mobile sales tools
- Proven experience administering the following types of systems: a CRM, ERP, Call Centre software, Ticketing and Automation software.
- Knowledge or experience with SMS gateways and other operational tools including Google Sheets and Google Apps Script would be an added advantage.
- A good understanding of solar and renewable energy products
- Strong communication skills.
- Clear thinking/problem-solving ability
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a sales management role including direct field sales operations, telesales campaign management, and/or establishing sales channels.
- Excited about working in a start-up team to bring a new product division to life.
- Are highly goal-oriented and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Experience in B2B, B2C sales and negotiation
- Ability to deliver presentations effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with people from different departments.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- Executive presence - polished, professional, and able to communicate with all levels of employees and executives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to effectively communicate ideas to internal and external partners of various backgrounds and levels.
