Job Summary
- As a Sales Engineer, you will drive sales growth, manage existing customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities in the flow control solutions market.
- You will work under moderate supervision and act as a trusted advisor, leveraging technical knowledge to provide expert guidance on flow control products.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market share, fostering long-term client relationships, and collaborating closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
- This role requires a technical background in engineering combined with proven sales expertise to develop strategic market opportunities and deliver solutions that align with clients needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute value-driven sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand business opportunities.
- Identify, assess, and pursue new sales leads and project opportunities while evaluating potential risks.
- Implement brand awareness initiatives and targeted sales strategies to enhance market presence.
- Proactively engage with multiple customers simultaneously, ensuring strong, long-term business relationships.
- Identify bidding opportunities and actively participate in proposal development to secure new projects.
- Support tender preparation, contract reviews, and negotiation processes to ensure competitive positioning.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with the operations team, sales colleagues, and executive management to align business objectives.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction and business retention.
- Conduct professional sales presentations and deliver compelling proposals to potential clients.
- Provide expert guidance on flow control technologies, helping clients select the most effective solutions for their operational needs.
- Conduct market research to analyze trends, identify competitive positioning, and uncover new growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technical staff, operations, and decision-makers, to facilitate the execution of the sales process.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related field
- Proven capacity to drive sales of oil and gas equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced in using sales management tools.
- Good understanding of contract terms, conditions, negotiation strategies, and margin optimization to drive successful business outcomes.
- Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably with a focus on project pursuit and exposure to the flow control market.
Knowledge and Skill Required:
- Proven ability to drive sales growth, close deals, and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Ability to understand customer challenges and deliver tailored, high-value solutions.
- Strong ability to analyze market trends, identify risks, and develop strategic sales plans.
