Job Summary

  • As a Sales Engineer, you will drive sales growth, manage existing customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities in the flow control solutions market.
  • You will work under moderate supervision and act as a trusted advisor, leveraging technical knowledge to provide expert guidance on flow control products. 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market share, fostering long-term client relationships, and collaborating closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
  • This role requires a technical background in engineering combined with proven sales expertise to develop strategic market opportunities and deliver solutions that align with clients needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute value-driven sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand business opportunities.
  • Identify, assess, and pursue new sales leads and project opportunities while evaluating potential risks.
  • Implement brand awareness initiatives and targeted sales strategies to enhance market presence.
  • Proactively engage with multiple customers simultaneously, ensuring strong, long-term business relationships.
  • Identify bidding opportunities and actively participate in proposal development to secure new projects.
  • Support tender preparation, contract reviews, and negotiation processes to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with the operations team, sales colleagues, and executive management to align business objectives.
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction and business retention.
  • Conduct professional sales presentations and deliver compelling proposals to potential clients.
  • Provide expert guidance on flow control technologies, helping clients select the most effective solutions for their operational needs.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, identify competitive positioning, and uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technical staff, operations, and decision-makers, to facilitate the execution of the sales process.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related field
  • Proven capacity to drive sales of oil and gas equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced in using sales management tools.
  • Good understanding of contract terms, conditions, negotiation strategies, and margin optimization to drive successful business outcomes.
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably with a focus on project pursuit and exposure to the flow control market.

Knowledge and Skill Required:

  • Proven ability to drive sales growth, close deals, and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ability to understand customer challenges and deliver tailored, high-value solutions.
  • Strong ability to analyze market trends, identify risks, and develop strategic sales plans.
