Job Title: Sales Engineer (Bid and Tendering)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join a leading industrial supplies and services company serving the oil and gas, manufacturing and construction industries. 
  • As a Sales Engineer specialising in Bid and Tendering, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, managing the bid and tender process, and delivering timely and competitive submissions. 
  • Your technical expertise and commercial acumen will be essential in developing compelling proposals and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing product challenges and offering solutions from OEM offerings.
  • Gather and share market intelligence, competitor information, and customer needs to drive business growth. 
  • Lead technical demonstrations, site visits, and project team collaborations to promote product adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation, review tender documents, and assess risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit compliant bids, maintaining a database of ongoing and past bids for future reference.
  • Foster relationships with procurement agencies, clients, and manufacturers to stay informed about market trends and opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, monitoring relevant portals for bid and tender openings.
  • Manage the bid preparation process, ensuring compliance, timeliness, and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Chemical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong grasp of commercial, contractual, and regulatory aspects of bidding, including tender evaluation and contract management.
  • Professional certification in sales, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in technical sales and bid/tender management, preferably in the oil and gas or industrial services sector.
  • Proficiency in navigating procurement platforms.

Salary
N4,200,000  - N5,400,000 Gross Annually.
