Phillips Consulting - Our client is one of the first banks to have been established in Nigeria and has a wide network of branches.

An exciting opportunity exists for Ten (10) Regional Managers at Senior Management level to support the Executive Director (North & South) in meeting the business development growth required of the organisation.

Job Title: Regional Bank Executive (Commercial & Retail Banking)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership / direction and continually enhance team performance in various Zones to achieve quality customer service delivery
  • Develop and manage high value relationships in the Region
  • Coordinate execution of Regional sales plan by customer segment and product
  • Monitor Regional sales pipeline and identify additional methods of improving performance
  • Manage Regional sales KPIs 
  • Interact with key customers to help finalize significant deals
  • Oversees the development of yearly sales plans and reforecast
  • Ensure timely review and approval of credit requests in line with the Bank’s policy
  • Build and maintain a sound credit portfolio within assigned region
  • Champion the recovery effort in respect of non- performing credit facilities
  • Responsible for general Regional administration (non-core operations)
  • Ensure effective / efficient implementation of bank wide within assigned Region 
  • Monitor/control Regional expenses to the barest minimum
  • Ensure the Bank’s Human Capital policies are applied consistently across the region
  • Ensure that weekly/monthly activity status and performance reports for the region are prepared for the attention of the Executive Director
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director
  • Represents The organisation within business area

Requirements:

  • A good first degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a bank / financial institution with the last 7 in upper management
  • Membership of CIBN (Student, Associate, Honorary)
  • Strategy formulation and alignment
  • Market Opportunity Identification and Development
  • Good Credit and Finance knowledge 
  • Deep knowledge of the Banking Regulatory provisions as well as relevant operating sector Guidelines 
  • Business Development (Retail, Commercial, Public Sector and Corporate)
