Position Summary
- The Senior Educational Access/Fragility Specialist provides the overall technical expertise on the expansion of access-related activities, including risk reduction and safety, gender based violence, equitable education services, education and conflict analysis, non-formal education, well-being, psychosocial support and ensuring activities are conflict-sensitive and do no harm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitating access to quality education of 500,000 out of school children through Non-Formal setting education, community mobilization and capacity building of education authorities and other partners;
- Analyzing and addressing barriers to educational access and participation;
- Assessing issues of supply and demand for education options/services;
- Analysis and assessment of education needs in emergencies;
- Integrating a conflict-sensitive approach to education, preparation of activity designs;
- Adapting rapidly changing activity designs; implementing successful strategies to combat school-related gender based violence; and
- Implementation of risk reduction and psychosocial well-being activities.
Reporting & Supervision:
- This position reports to the Chief of Party.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Requires a Master's Degree in Education, Conflict-related field, Political Economy, or related field;
- At least eight (8) years of experience in the education sector, with at least five years of a leadership role in a conflict or crisis-affected country context;
- At least five (5) years of relevant technical experience working with activities that are of a similar scope to this activity; and
- At least five (5) years’ technical experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans and results-based management.

Position Summary
- Creative Associates seeks a Chief of Party (COP) for a USAID funded project, Northern Education Initiative Plus (NEI+), that seeks to improve access and quality of education for school-aged children in Northern Nigeria.
- The COP provides overall technical and administrative leadership and expertise for the project’s activity and serves as the primary liaison with the donor and host government on management and technical matters.
Reporting & Supervision:
- The COP will report directly to the project director at headquarters and will supervise project staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall management and implementation of project activity;
- Supervise activity implementation and ensure the activity meets stated goals and reporting requirements;
- Actively engage key stakeholders; other education partners including DFID, UNICEF and the Global Partnership for Education and other USAID-funded implementing partners;
- Interact with numerous Government of Nigeria institutions and senior-level government officials; and
- Manage a diverse team to deliver impact within agreed timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A Masters’ degree in Education or a directly relevant field from an accredited university;
- At least 15 years of management and supervisory experience working with international development programs;
- At least five (5) years of experience in Sub-Saharan Africa;
- Experience in project designs, policy dialogue, strategic planning and implementation, education reform and national-level quality improvement;
- Demonstrated ability to work in complex, politically charged, unstable environments; and
- Professionally proficiency and fluency in written and spoken English.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in early grade reading or education in conflict-affected, alternative and rural settings; and

Job Title: Public Private Partnership Director

Position Summary
- Creative Associates seeks a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Director for the West Africa Trade and Investment Activity, which aims to improve private sector competitiveness with a focus on increasing the agricultural productivity and profitability of smallholder farmers in Nigeria and promoting West Africa’s regional and international trade.
- The Activity comprises of three main components: (i) design of a Competitiveness Fund for private sector partnerships; (ii) administration of the Competitiveness Fund to develop private sector partnerships and provide grants; and (iii) technical assistance (TA) that directly supports, coordinates, and organizes qualifying recipients (i.e., partners and grantees) to achieve USAID’s trade and food security objectives.
- The Trade Hub will contribute to both USAID/Nigeria’s Feed the Future objectives related to increasing the agricultural competitiveness of smallholder farmers in Nigeria as well as USAID/West Africa’s objective to increase broad-based growth and resilience.
Reporting & Supervision:
- Reporting directly to the Chief of Party, the Public Private Partnership Director will identify and establish relationships with potential businesses to form partnerships. S/he will maintain liaisons with both public and private partners that have committed support to the project and innovative win-win partnerships.
Expected Outcomes:
- Delivers and maintains excellent relationships with critical clients;
- Dynamic representation of Creative before private and public-sector clients and critical audiences;
- Achieves component deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains strong partnerships with private sector organizations, cooperatives, partners, collaborators and financial institutions;
- Facilitates relationships between value chain actors including smallholders, traders, financial institutions, buyers, processors and agribusiness;
- Organizes and facilitates discussions on agribusiness investment-related policy issues involving representatives of the private and public sector, with a view to reach consensus on improved policies;
- Facilitates high level market linkages to add value to specific value chains. This includes cluster creation with value chain actors from the smallholder field to anchor firm level; and
- Responds to requests from donor and supervisors as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Maste'rs degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture or other relevant field;
- At least ten (10) years of relevant work experience, in private sector development and a strong focus on development of partnerships with leading private sector companies and associations;
- Demonstrated experience with private sector relationships in West Africa to advance the program results and objectives;
- Previous management experience with similar activities;
- Strong communication skills;
- Demonstrated capacity to form innovative win-win partnerships; and
- Must be fluent in English and French.
